You only need to send the exact same amount of postage as u sent in the first place for your documents to Sheffield (tracked special delivery)
if u applied in pakistan after 6th july, u will still need to send a prepaid envlope/bag (id say 1kg is enough, for the person who sent 5kg worth that is insane)

also they have started on June applications, but its very slow

people from APRIL AND MAY are still waiting and applications from early may who have had delayed emails have still not received decisions and now June applicants are starting to get delayed emails.

id say June/July is a very busy time i applied June last year and got a reply 21st November so have sabr :)
I don't understand I applied for my application before the new regulations were put in place for documents to be sent to Sheffield. My documents went to Lahore because I submitted online application on 30th June 2015 and documents on 15/08/15.

So I received an email that my 'Online application has been received in Sheffield, UK. Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer.' What I don't understand is that are they processing applications ahead of time or is that format of email just a standard email they send everyone. Meaning they will process the application once others have been dealt with and it really isn't being considered as of yet.

I am self-employed and my 'Income Received (before-tax) is £19,779.00. So that is profit on my SA302 after expenses but before tax.
Thanks if someone can help with what is happening with applications made before they moved to Sheffield.

sis u just applied like a week or two ago

its just a stranded email and u should get a decision within 12 weeks if no delays arise[/quote

Okay my papers have come to England does that mean I won't receive my TB Test Papers in Pakistan when I go to collect my passport. Does my husband have to receive the papers in England and send them because he already sent his papers before regulations changed. He won't have to send my papers to me like the English certificates and TB Test Papers?

Hi Addi90,

Well to be honest with you mate he's ok , my wifes appeal is still in process so I can't judge him at the moment but I found him that his understanding is better than other people any ways you've to do a lot of work with them in order for them to understand your situation and scenarios, I am not overly happy some times about his few service and comments, but I guess than all of them are the same just Crooks and Robbers that's all I can say.

as A group member you've asked for one and I've provided you the one I knew in your desired location/area. I'll leave the rest on you may be you'll find him good according to your desired work. but its just the one I knew and I am currently using as well.

Keep us updated on the forum.

That was an old theory. Now if you get two emails, it means you got refused. Because one email says your application has been processed and the other email says your NHS surcharge has been refunded because your visa was Refused. But, some members have only received the processed email and still their visa was refused. So 1 email or two emails, means nothing really. You will ONLY know if you have been successful or not when you open the passport or read the refusal notice. So stop trying to find secret hidden codes in emails. The more you think about these theories, the more worried you'll get. Just wait until you open the passport.

Hi all,

Can anybody point me in the direction of a step by step guide to the new application process? Either another forum on here or an external site.

I just need confirmation of exactly what the applicant submits in Pakistan and what the sponsor submits to Sheffield and in what order everything needs to be done.

Thanks

Online application made: 18/07/2015
Passport submission at Mirpur: 28/07/2015
Documents sent to Sheffield: 26/07/2015
Documents signed for at Sheffield: 28/07/2015.
Text message received confirming appication forwarded to UKVI: 28/07/2015.

...still no acknowledgement received to confirm supporting documents have been received at sheffield... Its annoying that its been 24 days and no letter of acknowledgement... Its very stressful.

Anybody shed any light as to why I have not received the acknowledgement letter as of yet?

Well as I've also posted I hadn't received any acknowledgement either until 2 days ago. I submitted my online on 30/06/15. Documents to the old regulations at Lahore and my wife got Biometrics and etc on 15/07/2015. I received an email saying Sheffield has received them and that they are being prepared for consideration by the Entry Clearance Officer.
So yes they take their time but don't worry. Only worrying thing is that there has been a lot of talk of the papers being first taken out of plastic wallets and etc when handed in and then being or all mixed around in the bundle.
So don't have a clue how they keep the papers.

u don't need English test or TB test to enter the UK, u just need them at the time of application.
so once documents have been returned to your husband and u have obtained a visa then u just come with passport (that will be returned to u)

Well my sister-in-law said she needed the Polio card made again for Airline travel as it was kept by the VAC. Also she said it was checked at the airport with the passport. She took her TB Test with her just incase but they did not check at the airport but just in case they asked it was with her. Never know what these officials at Airports can do I think when it comes to Pakistani's. My sister-in-law came in February 2015.
