FYI, I posted an expedite letter last week (06/03/2012) and contacted MP as well.

I got a response from MP's office asking my reference letter and said they will urgently write to the Chief Executive at the UK Border Agency on my behalf.

Not really sure if any of this will help but trying to do whatever I can.

I went to delivery office and yesssss it was my passport. Ilr stamped on 18/02/2012. It took almost a month to receive it.

I was a bit worried first because they stamped two different ILR visa on my passport but one of them was stamped cancelled. They are both issued on the same day. The one that was cancelled had croydon as place of issue. I think that was the mistake they made so they cancelled it. The second one place of issue is liverpool. Had almost a heart attack when i saw cancelled :))

So here is my timeline for the last time.

ILR Application Sent 02/11/2011
Acknowledgement Letter Received 06/11/2011 (dated 04/11/11)
ILR Stamped 18/02/2012
Passport Received 14/03/2012

Good luck everyone.

Hi I am a new person in waiting for my SET (O)

Sent Application 08/12/2011
Acknowledgement Letter Received 19/12/2011 (dated 12/12/11)
Still waiting - 14 weeks now

I have not had a chance to read through the past 100 + previous pages of posts and I know it has probably been said a million times before but I am seriously not impressed by this inefficient processing service. I am truly kicking myself for not reading more into the waiting times as I performed a fuzzy search in Google and found some old forum (not this one) from 2009 where people were complaining about 3-4 week waiting times but most were processed in less than 5 weeks. I thought to myself that I could live with that as I had no plans till at least April but even that looks unlikely by the 4-5 month average wait times I am seeing. What annoys me the most is the ability to get status updates or make a complaint that would actually cause a reaction and get something done. I am too scared to send complaints and expedite letters in case they kick my case to the bottom of the pile. I made a general complaint on the phone about how poor the process was without giving my details and I was simply told that I should have paid extra (like everyone has extra money floating around and what about processing whole families at premium price)
I saw mentioned that someone sent emails to them, How do you do that? And what are the expedite letters are they just normal letters to the Agency address to where your application is?
Like most of you out there my life is being put on painful hold and there appears to be nothing I can do about it. – Just my rant
Congrats to all that have received their ILRs recently – not many December applicants coming through *sigh*

Hi Dear!

I can understand ur pain, we all find ourselves in this sad situation, and they at the HO sees themselves as tormentors, I think they deliberately hold our passport for long, in order to punish us, when we do not deserve to be treated like this, we all tried to live in accordance with their rule, yet we they punish us like this, anyway stay strong and be bless...
All for one, one for all..... Peace

Thanks loveislovely. I collected it already and got my ILR. The really annoying thing is ILR and the letter they sent are both dated 18/02/12. And I only received it today.

I asked for my partner's passport(british citizen) to be returned on 12/02/12 and we received his passport on 18/02/12 (the letter they sent with my partner's passport was dated 15/02/12). So they granted my ILR 3 days after they sent my partner's passport (they could have sent them both together). It took them 3 days to return my partner's passport but my passport was sitting there for almost a month (as they sent it by first class recorded next day delivery). It shows that they don't really care about our painful wait.

Thanks for the update - Those waiting times look pretty bleak and I honestly can not think of any other service on this planet that charges almost a thousand pounds for such poor turnaround, effort or care factor. I love getting the default response of "Our application volumes are very high at the moment" No kidding!! For years you have been saying that so fix it!!

boniface wrote:Hi guys

I have just come back home from work and found Royal Mail we missed you card. Apparantly it's a letter and recorded signed for. I am not expecting anything else so it should be from Home Office. I am so happy. I have to leave some time to go and collect it because it might not be back at the delivery office yet. But as soon as I collect it, I will let you know. I am so happy, almost crying. May God speed all your applications
I am happy to know ur wait maybe over, good luck..... let us know tmorrow.

Hi Boniface!

Don't mind htem, they enjoy tormenting us, and I am sure some of them are immigrants themselves, they know what it is like, having to deal with immigration troubles, thank goodness you are out of it, I will take over 4rm u.... my waiting game is still on, wish me luck!!!!
Thanks loveislovely

Now it is gonna be another wait for citizenship as it can take up to 6 months to process too but fortunately if I apply through naturalisation checking service, I can keep my original documents and travel abroad. Really happy about it. Keep believing everyone, it will come!
