Its really exceptional. desaisonalr : As I understood, the application was from UK. Is it from WP to Tier 1 or your friend had an HSMP approval letter. Please post your reply, we are curious. Also let us know the reason for urgent treatment.

you have to be patient with HO, even the phone!

keep trying to dial the number, you will get it through. i used to wait for 27 mins to speak to somebody

Guys,

One of my friend recently got his tier 1 visa stamped(switching from WP with a valid hsmp approval letter)

He applied on 16th may and got the stamping on 20th June. but the royal mail missed to deliver the pack at the address since he was not at home. they did not drop a card too about the post. My friend was in assumption that the HO is still processing the case. When he called the HO yesterday they told the docs are already sent on 21st june. he was in a shock and had to run to royal mail to collect the docs later. the royal mail did not even try for another attempt to deliver and they were keeping these docs in store for more than 2 weeks. But it was a worth waiting since he got his visa.

We found that he was granted 3 years visa and he got his initial approval letter before feb 2008. So we were in impression that he will get 2 years. Also the visa stamped says "Resident visa". The month June is spelt as "JUIN"??

i read some where tat june is juin is french..but am more eager to knw why britain is promoting french?

Cheers
Lion

WP to Tier 1

Post by desaisonalr » Sat Jul 12, 2008 8:42 am

When you call HO they say it will take 10 weeks time for processing. Also they say Urgent treatment is not considered. But this is not the case.

If you are going back to in august then you should immediately fax the urgent treatment letter. After one week you will come to know if your letter is considered or not.

Good Luck

Visa extension granted

Post by pankajmittal2004 » Sat Jul 12, 2008 4:04 pm

I just want to thank all the members here in the forum who promptly responded to all my queries for document preparation. For the latest update
HSMP extension applied: 29th May (No urgent treatment)
Stamped: Tier-1(General) 8th July
Documents received: 12th July
Visa extension: until 2nd June 2011
I mentioned JR in my cover letter and asked them to consider my application under old rules ( though I claimed 110 points) but they granted me Tier-1 visa extension

Last week on 08-July-08, I applied for my HSMP to Tier 1 switching application after completing 1 year 11 months in HSMP. Payment deducted on 09th July On 11th July I received the reference letter from HO. The issue is my name is misspelled in the reference letter. Hence I planned to write to them now requesting the name correction as per the application / passport :(

Urgent treatment letter

Post by hsmp28122006 » Mon Jul 14, 2008 2:20 pm

hi everyone,
I have to urgently go to India due to some critical family problems. Unfortunately,I have applied for Tier1 on 24th of June. Till now whenever I call HO, everytime they say my application is not yet in their database (Though payment is successful and I have received appl ref no on 25th June itself). They are processing May applications. I want to send urgent treatment letter. Can anyone please tell me what is the no to fax it.
I have tried 0114 207 6555 and 0114 207 5862. I could fax my documents to no 5862 but 6555 never seem to work. Is it correct or has someone sent on some other number? Please help me.
Thanks.

You have faxed on correct number 0114 207 5862, also try 0114 207 5864. 2nd number was given it to me by HO employee when i called them but i was not able to fax on 2nd number.
However my document reached to HO on 1st number. Hope it will help & BOL
