Your relationship does not fall into the
category of relationship which is allowed to be trivially certified by a certificate. Even if the certificate is issued by the Queen and has ten witnesses.
This is a little interesting. I thought the OP had a civil partnership type certificate. While these may have been designed for same-sex couples, some countries do not limit their use to such relationships ie hetro-sexual couples can make use of them also. So let's explore this for one second; if the OP's partner was male, UKBA would accept his certificate as a civil partner, because his partner is female, they won't.
Of course, I do not have sight of the OP's certificate and am not fully familiar with its legal status in Argentina or in the UK.
I agree that a marriage certificate would be simpler to use.
