3- Exit = 31-07-2009; Fourth Entry = 08-01-2010
4- Exit = 13-06-2010; Fifth Entry = 15-06-2010
5- Exit = 21-06-2011; Sixth Entry = 21-06-2011
6- Exit = Nil - to Date

Year From - To - Days outside UK
1st: 25-06-2009 - 24-06-2010 = 179 (3rd & 4th exits; EXCLUDING days of Entry/Exit)
2nd: 25-06-2010 - 24-06-2011 = 01 (5th Exit)

I intend to appli for ILR on 27-05-2014. Is it OK; need expert cross of my calculation.
Is is ok? as I was not in UK on START of the CLOCK (25-06-2009) for the qualifying period. Thanks

I think this makes sense as there are not only success examples but also analysing the scenario of first entry within 90 days; days before entry are considered as qualified period where the applicant was not present in UK on the start of clock (Start date of Visa). Hope some Guru will endrose it. Thanks

[/quote]It's not clear whether all your absences were while you were unpaid in the UK. But if they were, then reading this thread will help. It appears the UKBA are stating that any absence that was taken while unemployed in the UK would be considered a break in continuous residence. You cannot quote a serious compelling reason(s) for those absences. Even though the UKBA provided the above response, I have seen other recent success stories on this forum where the applicants were not questioned about their unpaid absences, so I would recommend you go through these to understand what case workers have requested post 13th Dec 2012 when the rule changes came into effect. I believe the key will be providing a credible reason for each of unpaid absences - if they were short in duration and you were employed soon after each and also have P60's for each of those years it would make that task easier.[/quote]

Is this [Absences due to the applicant travelling to see family and friends whilst unemployed would break the continuous period for ILR, as they are not work-related or for compelling or compassionate reasons] still TRUE after October, 2013 Rules of absence? Thanks
