Congrats on your approval. By the way the visa application (in-country) is called FLR and outside the country is called EC.

I have applied for my FLR hardly a week ago. It will be atleast an other 3 weeks before I get my result.

Hi All,

I have posted the application today.
Mine was an in-country application, and the points breakdown was
follows:

Degree: 30pts
Salary: 45pts
UK Exp: 5 pts
Age :5

Total claimed: 85pts

Let me see the process the timings. Any idea what is the max. duration ?

Couple of doubts :

1.After getting the letter what is the duration for stamping? is it any specific duration ?

2.If i get a letter here and can i file the papers in india for stamping ? any had experience in this ? is it any complication ? is it same document or differs ?

3.when hsmp visa period will be getting count ? after getting letting or stamping letter ?

Thanks

As per the max time, it can be up to 14 weeks, but those are exceptional circumstances. Usually you should get the result in 3 to 4 weeks.

I think you have atleast 3 months before you can use approval letter for EC (not sure if it is 6 months).

No problem, several people get the letter while in country, and usually apply for EC in their home country.

hsmp visa is valid from the time they issue the visa, your expiry date will be 2 years from the stamping date and is printed on your visa.

Hi

They dont even bother to send you an acknowledement. I did fill out the relevent part of the application form with my address and email but never heared anything in the next two weeks. I called them yesterday and then they gave me my refrence number.

They are processing application for 27th of Jan. and mine (5th Feb.) may take 4-5 weeks to process.

Yes, it is true that they need not necessarily send the reference number /acknowledgement until you call them.

For my initial application, I received the reference number after I received the decision.

And regarding current time-lines, it is taking between 3 to 4 weeks. so if you have applied in the first week of February, then you are very likely to hear latest by March first week.

Good luck to you and me as well :-)

Hello Friends,

Details of my HSMP Application:

Country - India
Accepted date- 15th Jan
Decision date/status - 2nd Feb/Approved.

I have received documents back from HSMP team.

I have one question - I am travelling to UK through my current employer on Work Permit. Do i have to come back to India and apply for EC or can i apply for FLR in UK (and there is no need to return).

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks!!!

Hello Funny_009

I had arranged for courier through www.mbesheffield.co.uk (thanks to forum).

You need to email/fax HSMP team about your courier arrangement in advance else they will send the documents through Royal mail.

The courier will cost you approx 70 GBP (20 GBP mbe charges + 50 GBP fedex/ups courier charges).

Hope this helps

pravtech,

I assume once the caseworker is dealing with your appln, it should not take long assuming everything is in order. I am sorry I dont know the time scale but maybe a week or so, I guess

out Country Application (Pakistan)
Refrence Number: 205***

Points Claimed: 90
Education: 35
Age: 10
Earning: 45

Documents Submitted:
Bachelor Degree
Master Degree
Naric Letter

12 Months Pay slips
IncomeTax returns (R3 Form)
12 month bank statement
Letter from employer stating the total salary and detail of each month

Birth Certificate
Driving License

IELTS Result Report (Band: 7.5)

TimeLine
15 Jan. Sent (UPS is best courier, it delivers in 2 days from Pakistan to UK)
17 Jan: Recevied in UK and payment charged
18 Jan: Reference Number received. After that I faxed for courier pickup.
14 Feb: Mailed the HSMP Team about the status and they told me that decision has been made on 8th feb. I dont know why they did not inform me.
15 Feb: MBE picked and sent the documents through UPS.
17 Feb: received the documents safely.

Courier Pickup Experience
I sent an email to MBE shiefield.Frank at MBE asked for reference number and case worker name. He also asked the extension number fo the case worker but I was not able to get that. Anyways, he then picked my documents and mailed me about the charges. I told the credit card number on phone. It took total 65 pounds. 45 for UPS and 20 for MBE.

Naric Experience
I sent photocopies of my degrees and transcripts through courier. They took 16 days to reach a result and both my Bachelor and Master degree were considered equivalent to corresponding british degrees.

Best of luck to all other who are now applying.

When you say 700 series, is it the last 3 digit of the 10 digit reference number?

I am sorry Iam missing something here. The acknowledgement letter I received from HSMP team mentions 10 digit reference number opposite "our reference number". I cannot see an 6 digit number as you have mentioned.

Could anybody clarify once again please

Hi minny,

you seem to have posted on 14th and it must have reached them on 15th. You hardly had one working day before you got the acknowledement leter?

Could you please confirm, if your received this acknowledgement in the form of an email or a letter, also, what the letter states?

Thanks.
