yes, they clearly state that in the invitation letter, due to the huge crowd.
The ceremony time is roughly 1h 45min. Only one adult guest is allowed and should be accompanied by invitee.

Got mine for Fri 4th July at 10.50 am. As there are 3800 people attending plus their guests, it is obviously not possible to have a whole ceremony at one time. So excited and happy. Congratulations to everyone who will be there at that day!

Hi all

i have a query. the letter for invitation fro 4th of july says that we wud b registering at the counter first, where we wud b given cert of naturalization and thn we wud b going ahead for the oath ceremony. and ths whole process wud take an hour and 45 mins.

wat if, aftr takng naturalization cert, we dont proceed for the oath ceremony. is it compulsory to go thru the whole process? i mean once u hav takn ur cert nd registerd at the entrance, do thy keep a check as to who is attending oath or not. do thy take ne initials or presence at d place where oath wud b takng place?

ne valuable advise shall be highly appreciated

Why would you not want to do the ceremony?

As far as I know there will be a person at each row looking to see if you actually say the oath.

@ amison79

Its a big day of ur life, the Irish state has given u the honor to become the citizen and u can't even stay there for an hour ....... I am really very surprised with the non serious behavior of some people. Its mean u have no loyalty to the state and u just want to use the Irish passport for YOUR benefits.....GROW UP....

@ Moderator: I am sorry but i couldn't control myself not to speak up..... I love this forum but that kind of people really ***** every one off.

They will lock you and will let you out only after the ceremony!! lol.
just want to use the Irish passport for YOUR benefits....
If I remember it correctly, someone, here, already asked this question, what are the benefits of Irish Passport?? Its like a person who given a hammer and he is asking, "what to do/hit with it"!!

Every passport's valuable.Even the Afghan.U need to give it to the guy, some will die to get the passport, well,u can still exist and live ur life without it.Ur world won't stop,it might be disrupted, but trust me,it's all fantasy in the end.20-30 yrs from now,u'll be back in ur home country living out ur old age,u won't even remember having the passport.

Why would you want to sneak out?

Come on it will be a great day, well it will be for me, after waiting so many years. I finally got the citizenship (trust me I waited a long time until I decided to apply)

So lets all be happy that 3800 people this Friday the 4th of July are becoming Irish Citizens through Naturalization.

Lets be proud and enjoy the day. It will be fantastic. :D
