Thats already happening. Its almost been 6 months now for May applicants to be processed and I estimate it will take atleast June-July 2005 for October applicants to be processed.Checkmate wrote:Unfortunately, I envisage that by Spring/Summer 2005, HSMP applications will be taking up to 12 months to resolve.
Surely they must be as aware of this as we are about the loophole in the system. For in-country applicants esp. those whose visas are expiring - the HO should fast track them.f2k wrote:they need to introduce some form of fast tracking applications. what happens to in country applicants? you lodge an application just b4 your visa expires (say those currently on student or another WP) and then you wait for more than 6months. for most you wont be able to work and even applying for jobs will be hard as agencies and companies will think you are "illegal". they need to do something quickly
I think they will improve performance after having changed current point system - current conditions make it too easy to apply for HSMP. I suspect they are quietly revising it now and do not want to let too many people into the country under the current system. It's only my opinion of course.mwazir wrote:2 days worth in a whole week ... thats even slower than their normal standard. I wonder how much longer before it grinds to a halt unable to lift the burden of all the pending applications.
