Proposed Civil Partnership. If you feel confident, you can apply without legal help. If you're concerned that the process is too difficult to apply on your own then make sure you only use an OISC Registered Immigration Advisor or a solicitor registered with the Law Society and specialising in immigration law.
You may find you get the help you need on the forum.

Thank you so much . On my partner's passport it has Authority as a signature , how can this be translated to "issuing authority" ? Or would it just be the country that passport is issued?

1. What is the Issuing Authority as passport has a signature, is it the country? It does not state name of Authority.
2. Have you ever voluntarily elected to depart the UK? – voluntarily left before visa expired or over stayed without deported
3. Spouse/Partner is it visa applicant or me?
4. Have you ever received medical treatment in the UK? – had one injection (with med brought from original country)

1. Country where the passport was issued
2. No (if you haven't overstayed a visa)
3. You need to explain what the question is
4. No (if you haven't used NHS treatment which you should have paid for)

The applicant's (fiance's) family. Official documents, your passport, bank statements etc should be original or legally certified copies.

You really need to have a document check by a qualified immigration professional. This should be for a fairly reasonable fee.

Spousal Visa !!!!??

Post by Estrellas » Tue Dec 23, 2014 7:12 pm

We got a visa, we thought it would be a fiancee visa but it seems that we got a spousal visa straight off for 2.5 years. We are slightly confused by it and seems its very surreal . Perplexed but very happy. What are the work restrictions on a spousal visa, if its straight off?

Are you actually married?

If not it should have been a Fiancee visa and I'd guess the UKVI have made a mistake. I suggest you contact them and get them to change it, otherwise there might be difficulties down the line. I know some will pipe up with 'it's their fault just take it' but in law even injured parties have to mitigate their losses and take some steps to rectify obvious errors.

I suppose you could get married outside the UK before traveling.

But another error is that a spouse visa is now normally granted for 33 months under D-ECP.1.1.

I've merged your topics together.
