I guess that such interview will be for few minutes but try your best to bring as much as possible the documents relating to you and ex. And also ask them the possibility for the refund of expenses which you incurred.

The should have replied as a matter of courtesy.

I only contacted them in the case of one person. The other person wrote to them himself i only gave him pointers.

2 days later they wrote to him apologising that they had requested his ex-spouse, and apologise for any distressed caused.

He subsequently went to the interview, and confirmed it went pretty smoothly.

Then again, i saw no reason why it should not have.

He was in a genuine and sincere relationship, which resulted in the birth a child, the European woman was very evil and possessive and in some case abusive.

I would fight tooth and nail if they were to say his relationship was bogus.

Sometimes they take too long to give reply to email so better to call them preferably around 09:30 when they have fresh brains.

Ridiculous indeed. Considering how much costly both financial and human resource to go for thos interview jusy to be asked these questions.
But well done Fatimah. You have got such a good memory.
It will be well. .

Well with the new application, there may be less of those interviews, as the new application deals with all these question .

2 of the 3people whose applications i dealt with, and subsequently went for an interview, have had a positive reply, and strangely a transcript of the interview was provided. Seems strange.

At least they got their residency.

What goes on in the mind of the Hope office is difficult to comprehend.

HI fatimah,

DO they cross check the answers from your ex, by calling them or visit them? if not then whats the point of having an interview? did you give any interview for your first RC?

Hello bil123 - honestly i have no clue why they are calling ROR people out for interview and whether they call ex spouse or not. Regarding visit at home i do not know, plus i do not know ex current address, which remind that i was also ask his current address during interview and i just replied that i do not know! :) .
I just had my interview and i am waiting for outcome. i did not have interview for the 1st card.
GOD BLESS!!!

Hi Fatimahh,

I am in a somewhat similar boat. The only exception is that I have managed to save my marriage (with severe restrictions on me) which in your case has ended up badly. You might have ready my post "PR Due but child with another woman". I have gone through your posts from 2013 and I know exactly what you went through and I feel sorry for you as I know what its like to convince your spouse to accept when you have a child outside of marriage.

All I want to know is if there were any questions around the "durability" or "subsistence" of your relationship with your ex while you were carrying your baby of someone else but still married to your ex?

Thanks.

Hi Rasgullaa - happy that you manage to save your marriage. In fact question regarding - Why did you divorce? - involved other but few questions regarding private life, such as name of child dad, if still in contact, if it was a long lasting relationship. The thing is according to the answers you give they formulate new questions. Therefore i tend to be as brief as possible. Hoping that it was the right things to do.
GOD BLESS!!!
