Can you please share your timelines.
Do they mention the verdict in the email or you get to know only when you get the documents?

Ours was a standard visa.

British High commission will send a mail that decision has been taken without any further info on verdict.

VFS will then contact you to collect the documents through SMS(we opted for sms option)

Only when you open the parcel you would know the verdict.

Hi,

1. Will they make photocopies of our original docs and retain only the photocopies with them
they will retain the original documents which will be send out to you after the application is processed

2. Do you have any info if we have to provide any cover letter or document checklist.
you dont need to provide a cover letter VFS will provide you with that

3. Can we mention our IHS reference number on our applications or would the VFS staff do it.
I am not sure on this
4. Is the biometric details taken first, then followed by document submission or vice versa.
Documents will be verified first and will be put inside an bag which will be handed over to you and then you be called for biometric where they will take your bio metric along with the bag.

5. We have taken visa pics but it doesn't seem to fit well in the application form. Can we take the pics at VFS.
Yes you can take at VFS, to get it from there make sure to arrive 30 minutes before you appointment time

This is the experience I had last year at VFS Bangalore.
