HEARTLY CONGRATULATIONS for your EC.

Recently i got approval and applying for EC. Can you plz tell me what are the documents you sent for EC.

How did you manage to show proof of funds for EC?

Finally got it, applied on the 23-nov and got a reply to mail today that my EC is approved. Yet to receive the passport though.

Hi rvag from where did you apply for EC. I applied on the same date from Chennai. But I haven't got any updates as of now.

Below are the timelines for my EC:

Application submitted at VFS Bangalore: 16-Nov-2007
Verification god knows???
Visa approval: 11-12-2007
Got my passport on: 12-12-2007

Some Tips:

1) Individual him/herself is the right judge for his/her case, always keep this in mind.
2) If possible staple your HR's visiting card on total compensation letter/salary note/ etc.
3) Use yellow post-it wherever possible on your documents, clearly mentioning what this document means, etc. This will simplify caseworkers job by gr8 extent.
4) Cover note is important as everyone knows.
5) Rest all docs are known to everyone i guess.

integra - 30/11/07
Visa issued - 12/12/07

Really surprised and fast approval.

I got my EC Issued and also the best part is i got post dated for Feb 20th 2008 for me and my dependents

To get Post dated visa stamping, you need to fill latest Application form
here is the link

and don't forget to fill "On what date do you want to travel to the UK?"

I also got EC for Jan 20. 2008.

IS This VAF2 is different from the earlier VAF2 .. i mean VAF2 afer they changed the forms ...

My update is I have applied to EC on 23rd Nov from VFS Chennai, today on the 14th working day, I wrote to BDHC â€“ Chennai. They replied back saying that they are awaiting verification document from integra.

I checked with my HR and Manager and they havenâ€™t got any calls or mails. Since I work for a huge MNC, I am not sure who Integra contacted or whether they contacted or not!!

My company wants to send me for an urgent requirement to London, I have been holding them saying that I will get my HSMP soon but they want me travel on WP as the visa will arrive sooner as the company is under Business Express Program.

I am walking on a tight rope now. I donâ€™t want to waste the money I have invested on HSMP and go on WP. But this process is talking really long!! But if I have my EC rejected I would have wasted too much time from the company side

for applying for WP, and I might get the opportunity turned down.

Also I saw that 21st Dec onwards the BHC is on leave. I have just 3 more working days before which I should know something. Hoping and Praying for the best.

How will I get to know the status or progress of my EC application, Is there any way to track the status.

I saw on lot of threads about the question in EC form (VAF2):

"WHEN DO YOU PLAN TO ARRIVE IN THE UK?"

I am not able to find this question in the VAF2 form, please can someone help me with this? Or is this information just needs to be mentioned in the covering letter?

Hi all,
Got my EC stamped today. "Thank you very much" to the forum for all the help.

My timelines

EC submitted at VFS bangalore: 29/11/07
Integra Call to HR: 6/12/07
Visa stamped : 14/12/07
Received the passport: 19/12/07

Though I requested for a post dated EC ( in new VAF2 form) I got it from 14th and it took 5 days to reach me. I have been calling VFS Chennai to know the status, their database still shows with BHC !!!!!

Any questions and help do ask.
