I think no one knows, that's what I think. It would be strange to issue a visa without IHS being paid. And also being asked for IHS payment doesn't necessarily mean visa will be granted, it means they are considering application.

From what people have said however there is a trend that when they later ask for IHS they later issued a entry clearance.

No one knows anything for sure so not point trying to guess things.

Hi Jamshaid hope you well.
Have you got any news yet?
Tnx
No, i have not heard anything. I did email inquiry on 6th March and got a reply as following:

"Thank you for the information you have provided.
We escalated your case to the relevant department on 06/03/2018.
You should be contacted regarding your case within 15 working days from the date of escalation.
Please allow the 15 working days to pass before contacting UK Visas & Immigration International Contact Centre again should you not receive any further correspondence".

Some people say HO Can not refuse visa without asking IHS for the child because they must consider full application before making any decision. I am not sure why HO is not asking for IHS for my child (he applied as a dependent of my wife) via spouse visa route of a settled person. His age is less than 2 years old. Anyone in the same situation?
hi Jamshaid hope you well!
please if any info let me know:)
tnx
hi Jamshaid any news mate?
tnx a lot

Solicitor wont be able to do anything apart from contact UKVI and ask for escalation. You can do that yourself via email or phone. After 60 days you may want to send them a email asking for update / escalation.

Dear all!
Today is 57 days still waiting for my spouse spouse and a childs settlement visa Aplication..
I have received an email from ukvi stating these:
Please would you tell me your opinion is it bad or good news?

Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 60 working days.

Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.

We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.

Kind Regards,

UK Decision Making Centre

Means your application slightly delayed. I have seen people get this email and then decision made 2 days later. You just have to wait unfortunately

Have they asked for child IHS yet, that would be your next indicator of if application is close to being processed.

Probably better to wait after 60 days and bank holidays. Then email UKVI first to escalate then contact MP if they still delay it. MP will probably ask if you have escalated it anyway. But it's all up to you. I hope you get clearance very quick so that your child especially and your wife can finally be with you.

Hello everyone,
Just want to share my own experienced since I am also applying for spouse wife with 1 dependent under 18.
Country: Philippines
Visa: WIFE Settlement with 1 Dependent
Priority/Non-Priority: Priority
Application submitted online: 21st January
Date biometrics taken: 12th February
Sms Received Docs. forwarded to UKVI: 12th Feb.
Documents sent via post to Sheffield: 9th Feb.
Documents received via post Sheffield: 12th Feb.
Original Documents returned: 15th Feb.
Email saying Docs. received at UKVI: 13th March
Online application has been received at the Uk DCM and being prepared for consideration by Eco.
Office processing visa: Sheffield, UK
Timeline given: 12 weeks (Priority 30 BD)
Email from UKVI Pay for Dependent IHS: never received any email link to pay the IHS ( looks like a refusal😭)
Sms Of Processed Visa from vfs: 28 March
Email Of Processed Visa from UKVI: 28 March
Date of Passports Delivery: Since holiday in Philippines 29&30 March (holy thursday and good friday) then sat.&sun. no delivery, I am expecting our passports to be delivered on Monday 2nd April.
Total waiting time: 32 days (as per ukvi decision email and sms from vfs)

I am trying my best to still be optimistic that our applications was granted, but I have been following different forums wherein I read so many situation that IHS for dependent normally needed to settle first before visa will be granted.
Once I already have our passports hopefully on monday, I will update again what is the outcome.

I applied for spouse Visa with 1 child depended (toddler) on 15th Nov 2017 Non priority.
Bio metric was done on 20th Nov 2017
Not Straightforward E-mail Received on 06th Feb 2018
Contacted UKVI for update through E-mail on 06th March
Decision Making Center responded on 21st March 2018 that application is currently delayed because they are waiting for IHS payment for link child and they have requested IHS team to send me payment link.

However, it has been a week now but no IHS team did not send me any link yet. I contacted UKVI centre again and inform them no IHS payment link came thorough and they ask me to check my junk or spam folder which i confirmed nothing came through.

Anyone had any experience like this?

@ Lucky 18

Please do share the outcome since you are not asked for IHS payment for link child. Thank you.

Can we not find the IHS and make the payment if it’s necessary for a child? In order to skip this waiting times?
