Oh I just realised upon reviewing the application that on the nationality I put down ‘Pakistan’ but it should be ‘Pakistani’. Do I need to cancel the application, get a refund and start again because I cannot change any details.

Please can the experienced members help me on this???

Ok thanks. Do I need my (sponsor) passport attested? Also, the applicant sent me her passport copy, do I need to upload this? No mention of this in the categories

Thank you muchly. In regards to formatting, it says on document guidelines to make sure it’s on A4...does that mean that the full passport is to be enlarged into a4 or can it be the passport with white space around it on an a4 document?

Keep it simple.

It simply means, if printing, print on A4. If scanning, scan using A4. It needs to be clear and readable.

It is usually docs that are larger than A4 that have to be resized.

Thanks! That makes sense, essentially just scan the passport onto an A4 paper rather than the passport page being A4 itself.

Can be either, ensure it is legible not pixelated that information on it becomes illegible.

Hi guys,

So I have now submitted the application (priority) normal salaried employment and booked her biometrics appointment in Islamabad in 3 weeks time (first available appointment, probably due to Christmas).

I submitted the following in these categories:

Financial Evidence:
- [x] 6 months bank statement (June-Dec)

Employment Evidence:
- [x] Letter employer confirming employment

Accommodation:
- [x] Housing report
- [x] Land registry

Education:
- [x] English certificate

TB:
- [x] TB certificate

Sponsor evidence:
- [x] Sponsor Passport
- [x] 6 months payslips
- [x] P60
- [x] Sponsor letter of support

Consent letters and proof:
- [x] WhatsApp screenshot of chat
- [x] Video call log screenshots
- [x] Photos
- [x] No objection letter from parents for living with them
- [x] Wedding certificate and translation

Additional Documents:
- [x] Pre wedding Chat log export
- [x] Post wedding chat log export
- [x] Money transfer slips
- [x] Gift receipt
- [x] Wedding invite card
- [x] Applicant passport

Appendix:
- [x] Appendix VF4A

I hope that’s all I need. I scanned and PDF’d each document on A4 and combined some which were relevant (photos, money transfer, payslips etc.)

I have told her to take her passport, ID card, TB certificate, English certificate and Wedding certificate with her to her biometrics in case it’s needed.

I will keep you up to date on the other forum (still waiting/Pakistan timeline). If I have missed anything then please let me know as I have 3 weeks till biometrics to submit any documents.

Don't include P60 which might distract the caseworker from considering the correct relevant wage figures from your payslips.

Thanks seagul, I will amend it to exclude this from the document and since I referenced to it on my sponsor letter, I will amend that also. Only issue is that you have to delete the full category of documents as it doesn’t let you delete a single one from the VFS site :|

Youve put here you are submitting Appendix VF4A, unless your partner is from North Korea which from the post is not, then I am almost certain you only submit appendix 2. That was my understanding anyway

Sorry, Meant to write VAF 4A - which is the Appendix 2.

For some reason, the documents I uploaded, VFS global has split some and merged some together which now confuses the flow of it all. How do I merge what the system has split or split the ones they have merged? Bit ridiculous considering I spent a lot of time sorting the document out. Any help?

VAF4A is the application form number.

Appendix 2 is a completely separate paper document.

The VAF4A form is the Appendix 2. That’s what it’s called on the document. Bit confused now

the spouse visa application form is known (and has been for many years) by its official form number, i.e. VAF4A.

Appendix 2 is an appendix (and separate document) to the main application form. This is my point.

Yep I get you. Appendix 2 is now also the same thing as the VAF4A. Thanks

Does anyone know or had the same experience as me uploading onto VFS? The documents which is spent ages merging and sorting out, now have split up or merged with other documents. Do I need to delete and upload them again?

Post by uj95 » Wed Dec 25, 2019 10:16 pm

The uploaded documents on VFS have merged together or split some which has disrupted the order. Does this matter to the ECO? Or shall I delete and try again?
