My employer has stated in their letter that my annual salary is about £200 below the requirement.
That is bit weird to hear unless you are indirectly meant that they have mentioned £18400 in the employer letter.

However, due to the different shift patterns for the past 6 months I have been earning more. I have selected the option "not earning the same amount continuously, under the minimum financial requirement" according to the amount calculated by my employer.

My question is will I be considered under category A or B? I have been asked to supply payslips for the past 12 months, that's why I am confused. If I am considered under category A I will be able to prove that I earn more than £18,600 using the caculation "(Total gross income from employment held throughout the 6-month period, dividedby 6) multiplied by 12 = Income from non-salaried employment that can be counted
towards the financial requirement."

Please help!
Maybe the same issue has resurrected again where on choosing the options other than the first one, compel you to supply 12 months of payslips.
Yes my employer has stated I earn £18,400 based on my contracted hours. But as I work shifts and sometimes night with a different rate the salary varies.

But in my cover letter should I explain all this and say I should be considered under category A?

In your circumstances attaching a covering letter spotlighting all of the calculations will be very productive.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Great I'll do that then. Thanks a lot :)

Hi TME

salaried or not salaried employment?
.

read paragraphs 12/12A/18/19
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... d-evidence

If you earn below £18.600 why you are worried?
You can use salary from your husband. Applicant can work in the UK.
If you both work more than six months then cat A.
As couple it will be above £18.600.
If bank statement is after VISA paid. Visa will be rejected.
All dates must be before you pay VISA.

If you have below £18.600 in the last 12 months but above £9.300(x2) in the last 6 month before you want to pay VISA.
Total Gross Annual income for appendix needs as average for the last 6 months.

You apply cat A because cat B has two conditions:
1. Annual salary from all job must be over £18.600 - your VISA will be rejected because missing £200
2. the lowest salary or average salaries in the last 6 monts must be over £9.300(x2)

salaries are monthly/weekly/28 days/2 weeks

Cat A - only one job
Cat B - you can have and count salaries from more than one job. Cat B accept job below and above 6 months.

I hope I am correct.
