Re: IRP renewal current timeline

Post by RandomDude17 » Mon Oct 18, 2021 3:17 am

Hey guys,

I applied for my IRP on September 02. My application on INIS Online still shows up under "Submitted". For a friend of mine, his application moved to "Completed" tab and he got an email soon after that too (same day).
Any other folks here who have an idea about the timeline?

It's been 45 days already and I am getting anxious because I need to resign from my current job ASAP to join my new employer.

Any info appreciated.
Thanks!

No details at all. They are not replying to any emails and I have no idea what the current timeline is. I called DETE and asked if I can quit my current job while my stamp 4 application in process, and they said I cannot because my work permit has expired.

Thanks for the reply i am also in some what similar situation. This is just insane why not just openly publish processing days that would eliminate this confusion. I could have planned better if I knew it’s gonna take so long.

Hi,

Not hijacking the thread, just want to know if any IRP renewal is submitted, do we need to send physical documents or is it online submission only now ?

As per ISD, processing time is approximately 7 to 8 working weeks. Hopefully we’ll get an update by next week.

Hi All,
I am a university student on stamp 2. I applied for online renewal on the 17th of September but I still have no news about my application. They are not responding to any emails.
I am beginning to get anxious because I'm scared my card won't be ready until Christmas break and I won't be able to go back home to family.

Does anyone know anyone who has applied mid September and received their card?

Thank you

Thanks for the reply Jolene. Some of my friends know people who applied during the first week of September and got a confirmation in the past two weeks. Hopefully ours will be ready soon too.

Will keep you updated

Hello, I know they have extended immigration permissions and we will now be allowed to leave the country with an expired IRP but has anyone gotten their cards back yet?

It has been exactly two months for me. Sent it on the 17th of September

Thats great news. Just checking for those who received their IRP cards did you get any tracking id for your post.
