We received an email at 12.30pm on Friday 2 February requesting additional documents within 5 working days. When will these 5 working days end? Would it end on Thursday or Friday?

Can someone please tell me when five working days get completed from email of Friday at 12.30pm.
My husband revised his flights and will land in the UK on Thursday afternoon and will reach his home in the late evening.

Hi all,
Please help. My husband received no email for any documents requested.
Does the original email I posted above means VFS global Lahore has failed to send any documents to them at first place. The agent is of no help in this regard. What should we do? Where do we send documents again?

You paid some agent to help you with this, why aren't on the phone asking questions?

At this juncture, it doesn't matter what was sent or not sent. You're the ones about to lose your money and possibly get your visa denied. You better send to the HO all documents that they've requested for.

No one here can tell you when your 5 working day lapses. If I were you, I sure know that I wouldn't wait till Friday to find out. send it by COP Thursday.

Send the document to the email that requested for it.

Our relationship with the agent got very ugly due to his non cooperation and charging money for each question.
We pushed him to add mine and my husband own email addresses in the application form and this has offended him beyond limits. He said as he is not receiving these emails from home office, he cant say anything.
The whole email read as:
UKVI is pleased to confirm receipt of your UK visa application.

We are sending this email because we have not received your supporting documentation.
Please ensure that your supporting documents are submitted within 5 working days of this email.

Your sponsor, agent or representative can submit supporting documents in the UK at various locations in person or by post for a fee. For further details, please refer to Option 3 and 4 in the link below:

https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/en

If we do not receive your supporting documents within 5 working days your application will be processed based on the information provided in the Visa Application Form.

No further request for your supporting documentation will be issued.

With all correspondence please ensure you quote the above GWF reference number.

Yours sincerely,

UK Decision Making Centre

My husband is planning to visit London VFS tomorrow morning with all the documents. In above link under supporting documents it ahs centre in Birmingham and London. There is no way we can make an appointment. I am not able to sleep for nights now. The agent will rot in hell for sure!

Do you think my husband should go to London VFS for scanning services??

I'm afraid this isn't looking good for you. Not sure the VFS office in the UK is a walk-in service.

The only good that might come out of this is that, you learn the evil that comes with using agents. They simply make it up as they go along and they milk the cash cow to death.

"If we do not receive your supporting documents within 5 working days your application will be processed based on the information provided in the Visa Application Form."

This is why you should be scared..

Goodluck though, and I hope your husband makes it happen tomorrow.

The agent states that its not his fault that VFS ahs not received documents as we submitted it at local VFS centre in Lahore. The agent ahs blocked our numbers now!
Can someone please guide us what to do? Where do we submit documents again? How we do it?

We have resubmitted the documents on Friday Morning. We did not receive any email confirmation or any acknowledgement. Is it normal for not receiving it?
It has been extremely stressful process so far!

Thank you so much everyone here. You guys are amazing. I received my Visa. It was issued on 13th, however we received an email on Friday evening which is very unexpected as it was delivered after 7pm.

Thank you so much everyone once again. I felt so supportive by you amazing people during this stressful time. May you get rewards as unexpectedly as you provide help and support to others unconditionally!

I got a visa for 2 years and 9 months. Visa is starting from 15th February 2024 and ending on 15 Nov 2026. I believe I need completing 5 years for ILR including one more extension which means I will qualify for it in Feb2029 provided I enter UK this February?
I am a final year medical student at Pakistan. How many days or months I can be absent from UK without affecting my 5 years stay requirements.
Would my five years clock start from my entry in the UK? If so can I just enter now for a couple of weeks and then return to Pakistan and travel back to UK again by end April/may? Would it start from February by doing it this way?
If I stay out of the UK for months in any given year for my house job etc, would it be considered as a breach of my spouse visa to apply for ILR later?
Thank you so much for the help!

I am a final year medical student at Pakistan. How many days or months I can be absent from UK without affecting my 5 years stay requirements. There is no absence limits on spouse visa route. However, note that excessive absences may mean some documents needed for extension e.g. correspondence may not be generated and for ILR, there are requirements to be met.

These are questions you should ask earlier to determine suitability of what you are applying for.
Now you got visa, you are asking just asking.
It depends on the rules in place when your ILR time comes.

BRP expiring in Dec 2024

Post by Anzal » Fri Mar 29, 2024 12:56 pm

Hi, I am granted a visa for 2 years and 9 months, however my BRP expires in Dec 2024. The visa offer letter states that they are ruling out all BRPs in dec 2024 and provided 2 links to prove my right to work or right to rent and advised to share those links with the potential employer or landlords to prove my rights. However, it does not say anything about travel. I am so worried what If I travel back to Pakistan in December and return in January, would I be allowed to do so?
Further I plan to visit Europe with my husband and this limited BRP might create trouble for applying other country's visa?

There was a case on this forum where a forum member reported showing their information on online portal to apply for a visa.
