as per my understanding

Yep, You need to be based in UK as this the fundamental eligibility requirement of the scheme. you should be earning and living in UK.

Clause 136 says you can claim points for the earning you have earned oversease while you were in UK under highly skilled category.
Clause 137 respectively allow to addup that earnings to have gross income.

You can be ourside UK as well if you are employed by a UK based company and have been on deputation to other country.

Push_hsmp,

In this case, is it necessary that I would be getting my salary in the UK. or else, is it acceptable that my salary been paid by their (UK based company) sub-contractor in other country, other than the UK.....
