What sort of legislation and which rule was it that you quoted. both myself and my partner have resident status in the UK but not indefinite leave to remain therefor we were advised to send in an application, this was sent 14th Jan and received on the 15th. We received a letter stating that it has been received and passed to a case worker. We still have not received the COA. I posted a latter last week asking for a status update as its horrendous trying to get through by phone. Still have not received a reply...
Any advise on what I should do? :?

You should draw the Home Office's attention to the word immediately.

COA - frustration

Post by moodlem » Fri Feb 26, 2010 10:09 am

I called the UKBA and they say they cant give me any updates on progress for the COA until the 70 days are up!!!!
This is so frustrating
not having a passport not being able to do anything

Do they like making people feel so inadequate and helpless!!!!!

Hello, I was just wondering, they home office already made a decision about two weeks ago but still dont post back my passport and my partners passport. I have called them since monday they say will take two weeks, but this is the second week already. I applied to the uni and they are asking me for my passport on the 5 th of march for my interview however i still dont have it, I mention that to home office and they said the will put that note in my file but still nothing.
Would be ok to call them today even tho I called them since monday asking if they have sent my documents, or that will couse more delays. thanks alot.

COA

Post by moodlem » Thu Mar 04, 2010 4:16 pm

Still waiting, both myself and my partner have a residence permit to reside in the UK till Jan 2012 under the tier 1 so I dont need a residence permit and am not an EU citizen so the numbers
01516725626
08451015200

Dont apply for me...I called their normal number and they say that they can only chase after the 70 days have elapsed....
This is so frustrating...

Any South Africa citizens out there encountering the same problem?

moodlem, I think you are posting in the wrong thread. This thread is for the status of EEA2 applications. "COA" in this thread refers to a Certificate of Application which the HO issues after receipt of a residence card application by a family member of an EEA national.

If you call just ask for an update on your application and let them know you have not received any certificate of application i.e COA

Have you confirmed from your solicitor that he has not received COA for the application.

When it comes to EEA2, solicitor messes up applicants alot. Why are people still using them when the application is just straightforward and HO office might ask for additional documents later.
Just call HO and ask of update that's it.

No need for biometrics, the items you sent are the right ones.
Please try to call them once in two weeks for update.

If you have your case reference number, quote it for them on the phone and they will search their system and ask you to confirm your names, date of birth and address.
After that just tell them that you want update on your application.

The case reference number is located at the top right hand corner of your COA, did you try those option l gave you when you called them?
