I shall strongly recommend some other senior person on the board to guide you which form you need to fill exactly in conjunction to what type of visa you are applying for.
In your first post in this topic (and also in your other posts) you mentioned that you applied for EC as a work permit dependent
ashish2010 wrote:Greetings,

I applied for work permit dependent visa on March 5th 2010. I am seeing the same status as yours.

I went through the website of Home Office and their website states that it takes anywhere from 15 working days to 90 working days to have final decision.

I wish yourself and myself luck to hear back on positive note as we both have genuine cases.
and in this post you are saying that your wife is HSMP migrant!! I hope you are aware that WP is different from HSMP, just as Tier 2 is different from Tier 1!

So, which one did you actually apply for (really) - EC as WP dependent or EC as HSMP dependent? If the latter (HSMP), do you know when your wife applied for HSMP (before November 2006 or later) or when did she recieve her initial HSMP approval?

Hi buddy,

She holds work permit until July 2013. I got work permit dependent visa. The visa says, MUL Visa until July 2013 to join Spouse/CP.

So it's not a HSMP dependent visa as you claimed in your last post. Thanks for clarifying.

For the benefit of OP:

Application for EC as dependent of HSMP migrant (pre-Apr 2006 approval) submitted on 8-Mar-10.
Application was kept on hold by UKBA Visa Services Delhi until 12-Ap-10
Emailed formal complaint addressed to Ops Manager at UKBA Visa Services Delhi on 13-Apr-10 demanding an explanation for not processing the EC application.
Received passport with visa endorsed on 15-Apr-10 (seems the complaint did the trick).

The reason I am asking is I am plannign to send one as well. I applied for my son's visa on 15/3/10 and it is still under process and wanted to check with you on the email.

I am planning to email the ops manager and your input will be helpful.

Thanks.

hi srm and sansa,

did you both receive the visa. i guess ho might be delaying issuing visas as one cannot fly to UK anyways. i have visa since march 10th but cannot fly due to volcanic activity in iceland.

in a way its blessing in disguise. i am sure you will get visa immediately when this volcano settles down.

my wishes with you both.

Post by vindeep » Wed Apr 21, 2010 8:20 am

Hello All,

I have a query on spouse visa, can anyone help me with this.

I'm currently residing at Bangalore and I have Tier1 visa until April 2013.
I got married in Feb and Now I'm planning move to UK along with my wife, for that I need apply dependent visa.

1. Can I apply for dependent visa me being in India only ?

2. If yes, what are all the documents to be submitted ? As, currently I'm working for Indian firm. I have enough maintenance fund in my UK account.

Please guide me on the same.

Thanks,
Vinay
