They have replied not in the hope of helping him, but to patronise him by saying you show be 'glad', and you simply excepting him to be thankful and kind to you, eventhough you have not given any valuable information, nor been helpful! Why on earth would you say 'be grateful' when you don't know what he has been through. Just been a refugee means that has been through a lot, and yet, having more hard time trying to establish a life in the UK. You, people, who is saying be glad are the onces who should be truly glad to have such as easy life with no hassle just for the fact that, for a genetic mistake you were born in this land, into British people, so be gateful, and thanks you mum and dad, and whichever God you beleive in for this. Perhaps, try to be truly thankful and grateful by truly helping others, who just happened to be born on the wrong side. And always remember, you been born into this land does not, or at least should not give privileges over others, simply because YOU had no control over. Always ask yourself what you have done to deserve to have more privilages, and because your mum and dad are British is just not good of a reason, you, and people should be treated according to their actions, Brian born british doesn't imply you had action in it. remember, that countries are man made, the Earth was divided into countries!
