Ind website is always down.
I am not sure that is quite right. I don't think it is down, usually, but it is extremely slow. Accordingly a lot of patience needed when trying to access anything on the IND website.

Really fun

Post by samkma » Mon May 08, 2006 10:44 am

I received the passports on 6th may, with an appropriate extension. But some funny things have been noticed
 When I called the Home Office (HO) on 4th May they said Application still under process. The leave to remain was issued and printed on our passports on 27th April :?: So their system was not updated till 4thMay :!:
The enclosed letter from HO addressed to my wife says she is been granted a leave to remain as a student Nurse and you know what???????
the letter addressed to me says the same "you have been granted a lilited leave to remain as a student Nurse" whereas i am dependent    LOL :!: funny isn't it. i feel even Mr. C. Clarkes aides must have been thrown out alongwith him

Congratulations on the two of you getting your extensions. Can I ask, until when? What length of time?

Samkma, that was not what I meant. You were saying that the covering letter as regards your visa was wrong. I was wondering whether the description on the visa was also wrong?

On your visa, does it give a description of the visa type? What does it say?

On my visa it Just says "Limited Leave to Remain" valid till 30N0v2006 and that's it nothing more, but the letter attached says the student visa. whereas my wife's visa states Limited leave to remain as a student nurse and authorised to work as authorised by the secretary of state.

Nothing more? No condition saying "No recourse to Public Funds"?

Samkma, I would not worry about the letter. The visa seems OK.
