Tier1 Dependant Visa application

Hi,

I'm planning to apply for Tier1 General category visa and have some query on maintenance funds.

In the application form its mentioned like -
"You must have £2,800 available funds for yourself plus £1,600 for each dependant accompanying you or intending to join you
in the United Kingdom within 12 months of your arrival in the United Kingdom."

I'm maintaining £2,800 from last 3 months and do I suppose to also maintain additional £1,600 funds for my wife (if she joins later, but not sure when) also to file for visa for myself?

or

is it OK, if we maintain at the time of applying dependent visa for my wife?

Please clarify.
