2. Filled IAFT-2 Application Form
3. Supporting documents attached-
- Copy of 319C. Requirements for entry clearance or leave to remain
- Copy of Appendix E - Maintenance (funds) for the family of Relevant Points Based Systems Migrants
- Received Email from 'publicvisaenqs@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk' (Home office Email)

My wife & son's visa was rejected on similar grounds. They stated that since Main applicant is in UK for less than 12months, £2800 are required for main applicant and £1600 for each dependant. This is disgusting. It was no where mentioned.
Unknowingly I have maintained upto Rs. 433965 (£5821)

But my case is little different. He referred that on 3rd May 2011 my minimum balance showed £3681 (INR 261402) which the ECO is referring to year 2010 instead of 2011.

So I am planning to apply for Administrative review. As per his conversion, my minimum balance of Rs. 433965 will be £6110.

Will keep you update.

Hi Narendra,
Thanks for the information you provided. May I know how long did the homeoffice took to reply to your email? Is is possible to send me the email if there is no confidential information in that? Because I want to apply for appeal next week.
Your help will be much appreciated.

Subject: Clarification on Tier-1 dependent visa

Hi,
I am staying in Uk on tier-1 general visa from 5 months and my wife is applying for tier-1 general dependent visa. Could you please clarify me below points:
- How much funds do I need to maintain for my wife, for my Son and for myself in UK bank account

Reply:
Thank you for the enquiry

You need 1600 pounds for each dependant joining you within 12 months of your arrival in the UK.

Hi,

Thanks for the info.
Once visa is refused, its all the pain till we get approval/decision.

May I know the dates of your first application, decision date, appeal date, acknowledgement date & final appeal decision from BHC - Chennai.

It will help me to assess how long will it take to bring my family.
Sorry to bother you, but your information will help other a lot.

Kumar

HI Narendra,

Thank you for useful information.

As you mentioned above your family visa got refused on two conditions (d) and (g). My spouse and child visa also got rejected on the grounds of subsisting relation ship ( your point d)

d) The marriage or civil paftnership, or relationship similar to marriage or civil partnership, must
be subsisllng at the time the application is made.
(g) There must be a sufficient level of funds available to you, as sef out in Appendix E.

I would like to know for appeal what all documents you provided to justify your rejection point d.

My family visa got rejected twice in last 2 months row. As like you I am also in UK on HSMP TIER-1 from last 5 months and now applying for dependent visa for my spouse and new born child.

Your reply will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi friends,

Here are the details of our dependant Visa application dates:

Application submitted: 20th June 2011
Refusal letter: 5th July 2011
Appeal sent in courier to BHC Chennai: 25th July 2011
Decision Over Turned call & email: 5th Aug 2011
Passports submittd at VFS chennai: 9th Aug 2011
Passports collected with Visas: 22nd Aug 2011

In my case the ECO has overlooked at wrong bank statement and rejected. It was rejected that I do not have £6000 in my account (£2800 + 1600 * 2). But we have maintained funds of £6100. We appealed and it was successful.

Regards,
Kumar
