Whatever. I urge anyone else in the situation described in the original post, however, to read the analysis from the HoCL specialists above ("Posted: Tue May 15, 2012 6:45 pm") carefully, and continue monitoring this thread, where I will post the reply from UKBA when I get it (via my MP).

What, you want everyone else to worry like you? Whereas the truth is that many, many people have been down your path before, and not encountered a problem of the sort you fear.

Can I ask please, if a UK Citizen and his/her migrant Spouse who has no recourse to public funds and is on a FLR visa is filling out a Housing Benefit form can you tell me what is important to write on that form etc. Need to make sure it is filled out correctly and that the UK citizens housing benefit will not increase due to the presence of his/her Migrant spouses presence. Also does anyone have a link to something I could print out to include with the housing benefit application form which proves that the UK based spouse in entitled to receive housing benefit even though his/her migrant spouse is not?

mrison, did you receive any replies as of yet?

Thanks so much!!

Mark, I am wondering if you were able to get to the bottom of this. Specifically, did you ever receive the response in black and white you were going to share with everyone on the forum?
