Thank you for your reply.

I can confirm that it has been assigned to a caseworker.

Kind regards,

Is that mean i gonna get decision soon?[/b]
No, that means they are going to start working on it now; the length of the process will depend on the complexity of your application and the caseworker assigned to it

Actually they do not have direct access.

According to this document:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... iew=Binary

your PNC must be requested through another ( classified ) party.

According to another document I have posted on this form previously, the response is made available on the UKBA system within 48 hours ( as are other "routine" responses ). Other information may take longer, depending on who holds the information ( this is documented everywhere ). Also, some PNC information needs further clarification which can take weeks or months.

That's what i thought; it makes sense; many of those email replies are wrong from what I read here....
From all the previous experiences I agree the emails from the customer support are not to be relied upon, where in sometimes, they simply paste a vague respose without even checking the actuall status ... manytimes they have responded "not assinged to caseworker" where as the approval has been in post for a week...
Well, they usually paste a template at the bottom, regarding the length of the process, etc... but they usually reply to your question as well, for instance, someone asked if a decision had been made, they said "No" and then they got a reply quite fast with a decision date previous to the email reply; which proves that email reply was inaccurate; so basically, you never know...

Cheers and thanks for the help/.

I do not have a local MP since I am still in the USA. Is there any info that I need to include outside of name, date of application, the NCS office I used (Camden), contact info, etc? I am a bit concerned that I do not have a reference #. Should I?

Thanks for your assistance
cricinfo wrote: Have you sent an email to this email address NationalityProgress@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk? Most of the people received reply from this email address within 2 - 3 working days. As your application is more than 6 months old so you can ask help from your local MP and ask him/her to write to HO about the progress of your application.
That sucks, dude; but since you've waited for longer than 6 months; you can call them, use the option 2/2 and you can ask more specific questions...

Let us know what they say.

Gosh, that must be a very devoted and hard working HO officer(!) I'm disgusted by the whole process, especially when you consider how much money you cash out for it... I hope you get your decision soon.

Our case has been assigned to a case working unit on 27 July, and we are still waiting for the decision.

I too was a bit worried but i think they have started to clear off all the pending applications of the July month, and they are clearing the applications from top to bottom for example 31st july applications to 15th of July applications, which were pending due to some technical fault in their IT section. so don't worry you will receive it within next 2-3 days for sure.

Congrats Deva, but how do you know they are starting to clear off the July applications? and that they are going backwards?

They received mine on the 23rd of July too, but no decision letter yet; they told me last monday that no decision had been made yet.

Congrats Deva.
There are some approvals from last week of July earlier, hence I also thought they are working backwards. However, that cannot be confirmed. Patience is a virtue. :)

But there are people from the 1st 2 weeks of July that got approved before that; so I guess it's just random.... it probably depends on who you get....

Let's see what happens this week...

Yes people from 1st 2 weeks have got approvals as that was before the system problems and processing was really quick. When we went to NCS on 11th, the man who dealt with our application was saying that now a days processing is very quick. Then the system problems.

I think the IT problem started the 25th of July, but was resolved long time ago.

From July timeline, for me it seems like problem started in 2 week of July. Just keep tight. :)

Below is my timeline:

Eligibility criteria : Spouse of BC (been here since 2009)
Method of application : NCS
Date of application : 24/07/13
Date of receipt by UKBA : Perhaps next day (25/07/2013)
Date of acknowledgement : 26/07/2013
Date of debit of fees : 29/07/2013
Date of approval : TBC
Date of Ceremony :TBC
Emailed HO 28 August- reply(No decision has been made on the case)
Emailed HO 5 September (we cannot tell you whether the case was allocated to a case worker. No decision has been made on the case.
Seems like some people get responses from HO while others don’t. Double standards!!

That's actually true; many people are told if their application has been assigned to a caseworker; I don't know why they didn't tell you; sounds kinda dodgy....

I also specifically asked "If my application is assigned to case worker or not", no reply to that. Depends on the willingness to help.

To be honest there are many things the HO do, that don't make any sense or follow any logical reasoning; so one can only expect not to be one of the unlucky ones, I guess......
