I think everyone in the second week if their application is straight forward should receive something this week. I called on friday and they said a decision had been reached and they mailed the letter out on thursday. So hopefully sometime this week I will get it. I applied on the 12th of March.

Oh that is good to know. My application is a straight forward case. I am hoping something next week. Will be very happy our immigration journey is finished or will finish pretty soon at this stage. We all well deserve it.

Hi faani, the number is 0300 123 2253 but you have to keep trying throughout the day until u get through. I think you should hear something by the end of the week though.

In the meantime please post your timeline so it could be beneficial to others.

It is the right number but its hard to get through to them. Some people including myself called for days until there was an answer. You just have to keep trying and hope you will be lucky.

I think a lot of people have already been approved. Its just second class mail and when HO decides to mail the letters out. Its just down to patience so hang in there guys.

Many Many congratulations... Less than 4 weeks processing time for Naturalisation application must be a record as a lot of people have been waiting for a very long time. Seems the process is now faster than Royal Mail.

its more than that ayoubtt . It took about 6-7 weeks for me as HO said a decision was made and posted out on the 01/05/2014. However i haven't received the brown envelope as yet so i have no idea when the decision was made nor can i post a date the approval was received. I just got a white envelope from the council and looking at the see through bit at the front, i could see my name, address and the first line of the letter saying congratulations Mr ....... on the approval of your citizenship application. that's even before i opened the letter. so even the postman or any Joe public could just take the letter and know what was about .

nevertheless, i'm not complaining as i am still counting my blessings . will post the actual date of approval when i do get the brown envelope.

How did you book ceremony with Hammersmith & Fulham Council.

They did not answer any call today . I have sent them an email today and their automatic reply says someone will contact me in 3 working days.

When I called and they weren't answering, I just walked over and asked if I could book the ceremony. Had to wait a short while, but they were very nice. They do ceremonies on Wednesdays and I think they may still have a few openings this week..[/quote]

I just want to share my experience of calling HO today. I knew the answer already as I am an applicant from 4th week of March but just wanted to check service. Couldn't get through in the morning. It was just late evening when I got through. Gentleman took my reference number and then took all other details. I can feel that he was genuinely checking system because he was taking a bit of time. As expected he said that application is on system waiting for allocation to a case worker which he doesn't know when it's going to happen.
He did a survey questionnaire at the end in which I told him that people getting council letters prior to HO letters. He said that they are aware of this situation.

I rung HO few times with the same number and already got through 3 times. I applied on 5th March and they debited money on 12th. But after giving them the Reference number, the guy will come up with the same story.
" Your application is not yet allocated to a case worker,
Plz understand our time span is 6 months and you ring us back at least after 2 weeks".
Pretty annoyed of the service as many guys from march 2nd week already got approval..

Haidi5, I applied around the 4th week of March as well. I reckon we might need to wait a while
