Happy to see that the IDV app (albeit not 'fully' working) is on the play store now.. Very encouraging. Indeed, this is all happening and in a positive direction too !

Once the App is available on both Android and Apple Play store, then UKVCAS will enable the account for each biometric reuse eligible applicant - this will be a manual process, done in phases in order of when the payment was made for the Visa Application.

Once account is enabled, UKVCAS system will send an email to the Applicant and they will be able to login to the App (using same username and password as on UKVCAS website).

In addition to upload photograph, applicants can upload documents from here which they "forgot" to upload on the UKVCAS website.

Will we need to re upload the documents we have already 'Submitted' via UKVCAS already? I saw the screenshots of the app interface on Playstore.

How does it work, did you receive an email from UKVCAS?
There is no official update or email yet regarding the app. It is just an indication that the app should be up and running soon since it is on playstore. It is not allowing login yet obviously.
THis is how it looks.
From the app permissions, it appears that it does not have the capability to read the chip from your passport or BRP. It only takes photographs.

I think you don't have to re upload the documents, the app is designed to be used for all new applications as well moving forward, hence the ability to have documents uploaded, I think people who have already uploaded documents on UKVCAS portal and clicked "Submit" would definitely have had an interim decision made.

I applied for ILR on July 1st Set(M) and I have received and email tonight at 10:40pm stating that I did not fall into the biometrics reuse even though my last renewal was in Jan 2018. I do have a 9 year old child so maybe that's why. The email stated that the system was now open for me to book an appointment.

There were no free appointment. I could have gotten an appointment in Sheffield tomorrow for £270 but I opted for Friday at £140.

I have not received the confirmation email with the QR code as yet though.
I too applied on 1st July and same Set(M) category. So, fingers crossed. Hopefully I will get an email. can you tell me from which email id do you get the email. I will make sure I dont inadvertently delete it from SPAM. Thanks.
Hi,

I got it from
FES Appointments <no-reply@mail.ukvcas.co.uk
Thank you. Got the appointment for 14th august and completed bio metric. Now waiting for the decision.

You can see more screenshots of IDV App from: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... .mobileapp

This App lets you upload and submit identity verification documents to UKVI to support your Visa application.

You can take pictures of your documents or you can upload files which are already on your phone

You must upload all mandatory documents before you can submit your application

Hi all,

Opted out of IDV app last week, my cut-off was 10th Aug. Received appointment invitation email at 6:30 pm today. Booked Lansdowne Road SP for this Saturday - 2 people for £270. There were appointments available for tomorrow as well. Other than this service point all other locations in and around London and Birmingham were not free until 24 August, some were until September. The cheapest appointment was £220 for 2 again in Lansdowne for this Monday. I have also received confirmation email with QR codes.

Hope all the best.
thanks did you opt out on aug 10 - AM or PM?
When have you opted out? Still no email or availability on website ....
I have sent the opt out email on 7 Aug AM.

There were two links in the email but I didn't use them. Opened UKVCAS website mainpage and logged in normally to book appointment.

@CR001 & moderators

As some members have already requested for another group specifically for IDV app, I would like to second the thought and request the moderators to consider it.

As its a new development, it would be good to have a separate group to discuss IDV app only.

Thank you

Stonelove your format is completely wrong. You need to include opt out in the title not body

I think the email clearly said that the words OPT OUT should be part of subject followed by UAN. So I would imagine that the subject should have been OPT OUT xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
I didn't opt out though and i am in IDV category. People who successfully opted out perhaps can confirm.

I had my application done through a lawyer and I have still not got any email form the lawyer if i send any email I seldom get a reply I have to chase before I get any information from her. my application date was 28/05/2020 she said she had requested opt out but I have no proof, I have now come to the conclusion that I have to request the login details of UKVACs from her.

Did you carry any other original documenta except the passport BRP and UK degree certificate?

Good to see that the app has made an appearance on the Play Store. Finally things can start to gather some pace now.

Guys, quick question if I may...

As per my appointment invitation (09/09/2020) I am required to upload my docs via UKVCAS. So my passport and my consent forms are fine and marked "submitted". The other docs are marked as "uploaded files" but not "submitted" - is it normal?
If not how do I get them into the "submitted" stage?

thank you!

Did you click the submitt button after passport and consent form and before uploading the other documents? You only get the one chance to click submit.
