Hello All,

Hope all of us support for this petition to be considered by showing our support and frustration caused by UKBA.

How to calculate number of working days

Post by RJ123 » Tue Apr 23, 2013 1:34 pm

Hi All

I just wanted to check how does one calculate number of working days. Apart from excluding weekends and holidays in UK, do I need to exclude Indian holidays as well?

Thanks

You could get a doctors letter which means you can forward on to the ait and they may consider it as special circumstances

D the type of employment ( contract or permanent )

We missed out on a point and had to resubmit the letter again ;(
You missed the hours a person works per week.It is a must requirement
Hello,
May I know what exactly needs to be given as part of the section "C. the period over which they have been or were paid the level of salary relied upon in the application;"?
Should the employment letter must have the exact terminology for all of the above 4?
Appreciate your co-operation in answering this.

Thanks
Hello Takdeer,

Every company maintains a standard format in which the letter is provided by the HR for visa..In our case we did the same. But had to re sumbit it since it didn't mention specific terms as required by UKBA.We resubmitTed the letter by mentioning all the above details including the SOC code.

The letter should specifically mention terms like annual gross salary, your title, period of employment ,SOC code stating the reason the letter was provided

Point C basically means the letter should state the same salary mentioned in the application which is also coherent to all the documents provided as evidence for financial requirement eg salary slips, bank statements
Thank you very much for the response. But, I still need a bit more clarification on this.
1. When you mentioned, "you had to re-submit it since it didn't mention specific terms", what did u re-submit? (Did u requested the HR to provide the reference letter in the above format) Whom did u re-submit? (To UKBA?).
2. Do you mean you yourself prepared another letter on top of the employement reference letter provided by the HR which is not in the format specified by the UKBA? Please clarify.
3. May I know what is the SOC Code?
4. Regarding Point C, Is it the same as Annual Salary?
If I joined an organization around 3 months before and I was paid for the 3 months salary which is lesser than the threshold to meet for the application, what value needs to be entered for the Point C? Is it still the annual Salary?
5. What if the HR Refuses to give the details in the above format specified by the UKBA and follows the organization's own format which will meet some of the points in the above format?

Sorry for the detailled queries as these were the questions I am not sure.

Looking forward to hear for you!

Thanks & Regards

Hello,

I am providing the text from the Employment Confirmation / Reference Letter of my Previous employer.

The employer refused to alter the format and wanted to stick to this format onlyemployment.

Can anyone please confirm
- Is this is in an acceptable format by UKBA?
- If not what alternative I can provide.

Thanks in Advance!

Hiya mate

If you paid for sms updates then your visa application will change in online too especially the stage (Visa application under process at BHC).

If you dont then it will just say "Your application has been forwarded to BHC".

Hi Chohan,

Where did you apply from?

The overall process takes quite a while. My initial application through a solicitor was submitted on 7th July 2012. Thereafter, I submitted my passport and visa fee in Mumbai on 26th Feb 2013 to wake them from a slumber.

Yet nothing has happened!

Stay on this forum page to get updates.

GD

Hi Gd,

We submitted application in Jalandher. Application tracking still says being processed from 4th Feb 13.
Is there a time limit for them to process the application.
I have come back to UK and just waiting, its such a long process.
Can my partner get a visitor visa while we waiting
