ideally they shouldnt..as to swith from PSW tier 1 to tier 2 u dont require to..but who knows?robdylan wrote:here's a thought...
Assuming you have a job at the time, do you think it might be possible to switch from Tier 1 down to Tier 2 at the time of renewal, assuming you no longer meet the eligibility requirements for Tier 1? I mean, all speculation here, right? But would they REALLY expect employers to advertise the job that you already hold?
I reckon the best thing for all of us to do is to hang onto our jobs for all we're worth....confusedhsmp wrote:ideally they shouldnt..as to swith from PSW tier 1 to tier 2 u dont require to..but who knows?robdylan wrote:here's a thought...

I spoke to Philip the first time as well - but he never mentioned that it wasn't 'definite' - he said it would not affect extensions at all.confusedhsmp wrote:Spoke to Philip at UK BA on 08 70 number and he confirmed that the new rules would not apply to Existing HSMP/Tier 1 holder as they would be extending. But becasue the new rules are not out he said its pre mature for anyone to give definite opinion.
Just to correct myself, He didnt actually mention "Definite opinion" but implied it the way he spoke to me. But from his conversation it seemed as if he was interpreting the proposal he read in news.inna wrote:I spoke to Philip the first time as well - but he never mentioned that it wasn't 'definite' - he said it would not affect extensions at all.confusedhsmp wrote:Spoke to Philip at UK BA on 08 70 number and he confirmed that the new rules would not apply to Existing HSMP/Tier 1 holder as they would be extending. I've just called up again and spoke to Andrea - she said no-one there actually knows any more than the original document that the press seems to have... and they do not know when they will get more information. She could only say that any application in before March 31 would be processed in current way.
The thing is how you can be so sure when Home Office themselves don't know what is happening? I'm just hedging my bets that's all. Just in case it does apply for extension.[/b]ssoct98@hotmail.com wrote:LOOK guys, nothing will happened to existing hsmp holders.
Applying early creates problem,as now a days plenty applying just for safe side.
sit back and relax.

It was heartening to have a response in the first instance!
So the message that we are trying to convey has reached appropriate individuals, who make the decisions. Let us hope that there is a positive outcome on the subject!
