terriblefish,
you need to provide your home office reference number, your name/surname/ DOB to your MP. You should also provide the date you submit your application and what type of application it was
and kindly ask him or her to contact HO on behalf of you regarding with your application
his / her staffs are very well aware where to contact.
they will then send you a copy of the letter they sent to HO
it normally takes less then 2 months to get respond from HO
Once your MP got the respond from HO, he or she will forward it to you
good luck

Congrats Kijaz
Question: Does SET M application takes longer time to decide? The news has being SET (O) for some times now. Any idea would be great.

Today me and my husband received his passport back for ILR date stamped 27th dec 2009! :D :D :D

We first tried to book a face to face appointment only to be told back in early november that nothing was avaliable till jan 2010, which was too late. So we sent it in on the 2nd dec ( valid until 16th dec ). We got it today 06 jan 2010 recorded delivery!

We were expecting a much much longer wait! especially as my husband is a nigerian, in the past his visas have always taken much longer and been very stressful.
It was a straight forward application, we both work full time, rent a property, not on any benefits and have documents in both our names.

glad its all over now

Congrats soks.
Where was your application processed?
Was it delivered by royal mail?
I begin to think that the time scale might have to do with where your application was processed. I think that everything depends on how busy each of the HO centre is.
Your response would be appreciated.
Once again, congratulations to u both.

Hi Sodedra
Am yet to have anything from them. Your being ahead of me sort of relax me. We just need to be patient and be prayerful. Eventhough it tarries wait for it and it will surely come.

ILR Application --> 2Y WP+3Y HSMP

Post by jatstheword » Sat Jan 09, 2010 12:14 am

Hi Guys,

Just thought I would post my case here in case it might be of some help to someone.

2 years WP + 3 years HSMP (HSMP based on new rules, not JR).

My timelines are as mentioned below:

ILR Application sent: 3rd Sept 2009
Money Debited from account: 5th Sept 2009
Letter confirmation rcvd from HO: 8th Sept, 2009
Received stamped ILR (mine and my wife's) + all docs: 6th Jan 2010
Total time taken: 17weeks & 3 days (just over 4 months).

Have to say, it was quite a nerve racking and frustrating wait, but all izz well !!!
