I applied for UKVI settlement in July 2017 and a decision was made on the 25th of Sept till now I have not gotten my passport and do not know the decision. It is one month and a week now.
On the 27th of Oct I got an email to pay IHS for my dependent because of a bug from website. I paid the same day. Since a decision has been made and IHS paid. How long do i have to wait again to receive my decision and passport?
please admin or anybody who had same experience

don't trust this email its from contact centre(call centre) they don't have any idea if you get email from decision making department that ll be genuine. I phone them on 26 Oct been told my application is pending for decision and again i phoned on 30th of OCT they told me decision has been made on my application next day i got email from contact centre asking me my wife passport for escalation for application when i phoned them and i told them that i been told decision has been made on my application guy told me because you phoned on 26th of OCT that email was due that phone call but when they sent me email didn't check that on my application already decided, that's why i always ignore email from contact centre

I was waiting since may 8th from Turkey without priority. I never received any information or smt till 31st of october email that almost all of us received. i never believed they will keep their word tbh.
And this morning i have received this email

UK Visas & Immigration has now assessed your UK visa application and made a decision. Your documents and

the decision will be sent back to either the UK Visa Application Centre where you applied, where we will

contact you by email over the next few days to collect them, or if you are using the courier return service, will

be sent directly back to the address you provided.

ive called my lawyer and he said i will get my passport either tomorrow or the next day. So excited to see the result strongly hoping visa granted. will write updates again.

I applied from Turkey too but still havent recived desicion.
I had my biometrics on 22nd of June

This is from contact center and decision making center have completely different signature. But HO have to understand that we have only one way to contact them .
And they are useless.

I noticed lots of people got their documents back from sheffield a short time after biometrics.
My husband didnt get his documents back and we r on day 80. Does that mean anything?

I'm near day 60 and have not received any of my documents back yet. I did receive a "case to straightforward email" on Friday 27/10/2017. I applied on 1/8/2017, biometrics on 10/8/2017 and my package was received by Sheffield on 17/8/2017. Has your husband received his documents back yet?

I call ukvi every ten days to check on my status everytime its a different answer.
Last answer i got is my desicion is delayed due to backlog of applications that were not looked in till august.

If it is a UK solicitor, you need to contact the Law Society.

If the solicitor is abroad, you need to find the regulatory body in whichever country.

Cuz i put in a wrong email on my application form and later corrected it when i found out by calling the contact center.
I was afraid that it wasnt enough and that sheffield will keep sending me emails on the wrong email address regarding missing documents or something like that but the guy that answered my call reassured me that all emails from sheffield go through them ( contact center) first and then they send them to us.

Yes me too in same situation missing my wife so much. I applied 28th June 2017. I never received any email from HO. Not even that not straightforward email or 31st October mail. I have completed more than 80 business days. Don't know how long we have to wait for decision. Have you checked your application status from HO by emailing or calling them? Hope we all get visa soon. Hope for the best.

No I didn't receive any email or call from HO. Not even that 31st October mail or not a straightforward email. I really don't know how long we have to wait. Hopefully we all get visa soon. Hope for the best. Have you contacted HO by email or call?

ya only one time i was contacted them, they said that still working on my application and we cannot tell any further information about that.., no way to getting any information from them..

•Received back from Sheffield on 11/10/2017


•I Called UKVI on 17/10/2017 to notify them of email correction and status update. The girl couldn't give me any information as they don't have access to it. Application still under process.
•I emailed them on 30/10/2017 for status update. They replied 31 10/2017 (morning) saying application still under process
• I received a direct email from the Gerry in Islamabad for passport collection 31/10/2017 (afternoon). This was a very weird email. It wasn't from the UKVI. It didn't have my husbands name or GWF reference number. The sender was "srisbvac" and at the end of email it said it was from Gerry Islamabad.
•01/11/2017 My husband called Islamabad and found that the passport had arrived. Later that day Islamabad Gerry called my husband twice to come and pick up the passport.
• My husband picked up his passport 02/11/2017 and Alhamdulilah Visa had been granted and was starting from the 6/11/2017

Please note. It took us 24 working days from Biometrics to picking up the Passport. Alhamdulilah we were lucky not to have waited so long. The UKVI didn't call the sponsor nor the employer. They didn't respond via email for receiving the documents or anything else. Totally silent not even a peep from them.

Good luck to those still waiting. Hope u all get replies very soon x

Congrats to you. Me, my husband’s biometrics was on 26th of September. (Priority).Documents sent on 28th of September.Received email on 3rd of October to send the appendix 2 again that they did not see it. It was definitely included in the supporting documents. I can’t understand why they could not see it. Anyway we scanned another appendix 2 quickly and sent to them using the email they provided. We had a visit visa refusal last year when husband was still my fiancé, so I am not sure if it will be treated as priority. No documents back yet. We keep waiting.

Hi I applied Sri Lanka too standard 31 may 2017 now we waiting 111 working days total 155 days. I know few who applied before me they still waiting too. This very pain full wait.

Yes this very painful wait. We can't planing anything cuz of this uncertainty. I applied standard application on 28th June 2017. I had my Biometrics on 7th July 2017. I can't understand from what basis HO start looking at applications. Because there are some applications that HO already given the decisions who are applied very recently. Have you checked your application status from HO by emailing or calling? Did you receive any emails from HO such as that 31 e-mail or not straightforward email.
