Congrats hummer. Can you share some details of your application like:

Did you have a job offer when applied?
How did u arrange the accommodation (hotel or some friend) and the documents submitted for the same?
How much balance you had shown in teh account and did you borrow the money/took any personal loan etc?

This will help ppl like me who are waiting from long time. I want to know if I have done anything wrong with my application because of which it is taking longer than some of the others.

Thanks

hsmp_1476 : It is not necessary to travel within 27 days, you have six months to travel. but best is to go within 3 months otherwise, you may face some questions.

Travelling within 27 days, is useful for ILR which is 5 year planning. If you reach UK within 27 days you just need to file one FLR, otherwise you need to submit 2 FLR. hope it clarifies

FOR HSMP - I have not shown any job offer.
It is good to have 3-4 lacs in your account that will be enough for you to survive initially for 3 months.
For accomodation, i have shown my brother printed email invitation. I think you have to wait for it. it will no longer take 4-10 days now, i beleive. Hope for the best.

Thank you hsmp_1476 for the wishes

Please find the ans. for your Qs.

1. Did you have a job offer when applied? No. I do not have one. I just uploaded my resume in jobserve.com. received some automated responses. took the prinout of those mails and submitted along EC.
2. How did u arrange the accommodation (hotel or some friend) and the documents submitted for the same? I got invitation letter from my cousin. along with that he gave me his rent agreement copy, passport copy and banck statements.
3. How much balance you had shown in teh account and did you borrow the money/took any personal loan etc? I have 3 lacs rs in salaray account from the salary itself and one lacs rs in other investments.

Hope this will help you
All the best for you and for everyone.

Regards

Thanks Hummer for the reply.

I asked those questions just to figure out if I have done any mistake in my application as it is getting delayed. My case seems to be very similar to yours.

I applied with job search results from jobserve and another site (which I cant remember now).

Had got invitation letter, passport copy, WP copy, tenancy agreement, utility bills etc from my friend in Edinburgh.

And had shown 6 lakhs as bank balance, of which I had borrowed 3 lakhs from my brother-in-law and taken a letter from him about the same.

Dont know why mine and few more ppls application is getting delayed :(

Lets see...

Thanks

I had called them yest. They asked me to call after 18th. All my plans are getting changed because of delay in EC :(

Is anybody tracking on the number of pending EC decisions in Jan thread? Many of them have got visas this week i think.

Hi HSMPinit,

looks like BHC is processing applications faster compared to Dec thread or not many ppl who applied in Jan are in this thread.

Have you or Achtung tried to call/mail BHC? Is it the standard reply that you guys are getting?

I have been calling/mailing them every three days once... but no use... I get the same reply... will try to call them again tomorrow...

I dont understand one thing here... how come few people are getting results within 24 days... no idea what is the reason for delay in processing our applications... lets hope atleast by next week we get some results...
Thanks...
Veeresh

Hi Rayhsmp,

have you travelled to UK before coz that may be reason why you got your EC soon.

Thanks

Actually I have just asked these question coz if you have travelled to UK and stayed there for more than 6 months these people grant you EC very fast so just asked these.

All the best everyone i hope you will get results sooner.

Thanks
