I heard the same sentence until the day of the decision.

Once the decision is made, the advisors have the information shown on their computer screen and they tell you "Decision has been made and you will get the letter in 7 to 10 days".

Hence, you will hear the sentence until your case is decided. Have faith, you will hear the good news soon.

Regards

Eskar bahi, it means me and mum are on same boat.

My timeline:

Applied by NCS: 25/02/10 ( they sent on 26/02/10 )
HO Received on: 27/02/10 ( checked through royal mail online tracking )

How do you know HO received application? Did you ring Home Office or checked through online tracking?

no i just cehcked by royal mail tracking. well i suppse your one should much quicker than my mum becasue you had your ilr very recently so dnt has to check much whereas my mum got ilr back in 2005. no touch with home office since then so ukba might want to find my mum activities over 5 years. so it might be bit time consuming.

PASSPORT APPLICATION>>>

Post by thiagofali » Mon Mar 01, 2010 6:52 pm

I have received a letter from the IPS today, asking me for an official statement from my bank, mortgage company or landlord confirming my address for the last 3 years.... I think this is ludicrous... after all the visas I had to get and the naturalisation itself being approved, I am now officially a british citizen.. however, they still ask for something like this which is totally stupid... If I don't get it what does it mean? that I cannot get my british passport even though the home office granted my naturalisation? this is ludicrous...

I wanted to ask if anyone know of the IPS asking for some kind of statement confirming 3 years of residence??

Thank u

This is non sense. Why do they want your proof residence if you already have ILR and then Citizenship certificate

I am currently waiting for the interview letter after my passport application. Can anyone please share their experience on how you go about booking an interview with the IPS. Are you given an option to choose the location of interview or time of interview?

Many thanks - Spartac

Hi thiagofali,

I have heard about this happening in a few cases. I did a bit of reseach and found out that the IPS does preliminary checks to verify a person's existance and they check the electoral rolls. Are you listed on the electoral roll?

congratulations to all members who got their British passport!

I try to hide my stress but to be honest it is a such Horrible one I do not think I have experienced such thing! I do not know why? Because of fear of not becoming British ? or is it because of internal emotional conflicts between Our miserable lives in our country of origin and being finally Free from that stress of some Idiot regimes! I do not know just rambling thoughts maybe does not make sense but the stress is so intense ...
Maybe paranoid again lol
