In the Appendix 5, it is stated that "Please ensure you also complete the main Personal Details form". Can you tell me which form it is referring to?

Thanks,

Which country you are applying from ? If you are applying from outside UK then in most of the countries now you must apply online. Personal form is part of visa paper form where you put your personal details like name/passport details/addresses etc.
Thanks for your response fahadfaiz.

I will be applying from India. I did a check and found out that VAF9 (personal details form) is equivalent to the online visa application form, which I have already filled.
So I think I have to take a print out of the online visa application form (once I fill and submit it online) and the Appendix 5.
Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks,
Agni
I am not 100% sure, but I dont think you need to submit appendix 5 with your online print out visa form. Because all the questions asked in appendix 5 is present when you fill visa form online. So there is no need to submit appendix 5 because you should have already answered those questions as part of your online visa application. Only online form printout is enough. Appendix 5 is only needed when you submit paper form i.e. VAF 9.

Hi fahadfaiz,

I am still on the application page. When you submit your application you need to book your appointment. When appointment booked. The next tab on main screen shows IHS payment. So after you book your appointment it should take you to IHS payment screen. I will make payment tonightthen will let you know. Meanwhile you can try by loggin in. Then on main page you ll see steps. First will be application then sign declaration then book appointment and then ihs payment. Click on ihs payment and try

Many thanks,
If your usa visa is on your passport then they ll see it themselves. If no visa on passport then it's better to include a copy of your resident permit card of usa.
Ah, the U.S. System works differently. My us visa was only for one year but I could stay in the country legally as long as I am still a full time student. That's why there's no evidence on my passport. And they don't issue resident permit card like the UK. That's why I don't know if I have to provide evidence, because it will be a pain. Or should I just take the Tb test to ease everything else?

Hi fahadfaiz & Agni

I am facing the same as faced by Agni.
I did not get any option to make the payment for IHS but it generated IHS reference number and the next step is to pay application fee. If i do so i am sure my application will be rejected because i was not able to IHS. Can you please guide how to solve this problem?

Hello. I completed my online application and paid the fee two days ago. When I finished online application and clicked confirm application I was taken to next screen where it said to book appointment. After selecting appointment I was first taken to IHS payment screen where I was asked few questions about visa and then an amount came which had to be paid. When I paid the ihs fee I got email and ihs ref number. After paying ihs fee the next screen that came was to pay for application fee. After I paid application fee I got appointment confirmation email.
Did you get any email abt ihs payment confirmation? Try loggin back in and check your main screen. Is ihs payment tab still grey or green ? If its grey click on it it should take u to payment screen.

Hi Faddi,

Thanks for the quick response. I too got the same flow except the payment page for IHS. On IHS, my details were pre-poplated and then it directly took me to the payment confirmation page(without actual payment page) where it showed me the payment confirmation of 0.00 INR.
Then it displayed my IHS reference number which i got without any payment.

I have received below confirmation email from IHS :-
"Immigration health surcharge complete
Date: Aug 31, 2015
Name: xxxxx
IHS reference number: xxxxx
This email confirms your immigration health surcharge (IHS) reference number.
If you made a payment, you should have received a separate email receipt from Worldpay.

"

but i have note received anything from Worldpay.

Also, if i see my application "IHS Payment Completed" is in light green color but it is no-editable (means i cannot open it to make any edits).

I really dont know what to do next :(

PS- I am applying for Tier 2 General with sponsorship from A rated company.

seems you probably answered ihs visa questions wrongly. If you from outside uk and applying for more then 6 months you must pay £200 per year. The system has exempted you from payment means your application is still valid, its just you dont need to pay ihs fee or are exempted. If your rcos is for less then 6 months then you do not need to pay. Did you mentioned your start and end date of your rcos during ihs questions correctly?

You are right Faddi, the dates i gave were less than 6 months but i entered as per the Sponsorship letter i got from my employer.
Dates i entered
Cos Start Date: 27 August 2015
Cos End Date: 28 November 2015

Below are some details from the sponsorship letter i received-
Certificate of sponsorship status
Sponsor licence number: xxxxxx
Sponsor name: xxxxxx
Certificate number: xxxxxx
Current certificate status: ASSIGNED
Current certificate status date: 27 August 2015
Date assigned: 27 August 2015
Expiry date (use by): 28 November 2015
Sponsorship withdrawn: N
Sponsor note: xxxxxxx

Work dates
Start date: 01 October 2015
End date: 30 September 2020
Does the migrant need to leave and re-enter the UK during the period of approval? N
Total weekly hours of work: 37.50

Now i am not sure which dates to give (is it my work dates?). My CoS is for 5 year Tier2 General.
So what should i do now because there is no way to edit the IHS payment thing?

you have probably entered 27th aug and 27nov. This is wrong. Because this is just 3 months in which you need to make an application to ukba. You need to enter work dates ime. 1st october 15 to 2020. Means you need to pay £1000 for 5 years.

Have you paid application fee of £1128 ? If not yet then dont pay otherwise your application will be rejected. If you still havent paid application fee then start a new application with same email id and login and click on apply for myself. Complete new application and ignore the current one as it will be discarded after some days. If you have already paid application fee then contact ukba through email asap and tell them about this mistake they ll sort it out. Normally they reply in 2 working days.

shannon5g wrote:I wonder why there are so many returned RCoS (648), because traditionally the number is only around 20-30 each month.
According to the MAC report, there are around 2500 applications rejected in June and July. We already know there are 1325 rejected in June. That leaves about 2500-1325=1175 rejected in July, ie 1175 for 32-40 in July.
The average number for 33-35 is 276.5, and 361.7 for 36-40, roughly 3:4. If the ratio remains, there are 1175*3/(3+4)=503 scored 33-35 rejected in August, and accordingly 1175*4/(3+4)=671 scored between 36-40 granted a RCoS. That draws the following conclusions:
1. If there were no returned RCoS which turned out to be 648, the number of available RCoS would be 648 fewer, leaving no possiblity for 40- granted a RCoS. The cutoff for Aug should have been 45.
2. Only 1519 available in Sep. Unless there are hundreds of returned RCoS again, the cutoff for Sep will be around 37 judged by the average number (1523 @37+), or 36 judged by the data for last September (1531 @36+).

To sum up, it was a miracle last month and there is very little for 33-35 still next month. TAT
Do you mean the cutoff of Sept. will be 36 or 37 points? I think there should be 1579 instead of 1519 available in Sept.

For conclusion 1, if we use another ratio which is 228:570=2:5 from the data of June, there would be 1175*2/(2+5)=336 @33-35 in July, and 1175*5/(2+5)=839 @36-40.
The conclustion 1 should be edited as:
1. If there were no returned RCoS which turned out to be 648, the number of available RCoS would be 648 fewer, leaving no possiblity or only 839-648=191 for 40 granted a RCoS. We all know there were already 246 @40 in June, so the number @40 in August is almost certanly more than 291, which means all the applications @40 would have been rejected and the cutoff for Aug should have been 45.
Also personally I guess the cutoff of Sept. will be 45 points or 50 points. 45 points is more likely, but could also go as high as 50.

Average number of applicants at 39 points: 30 x3 (June, July and August) = 90

( 846+406+519+90= 1861)

Total available in Aug : 1747 + 100 ( Out of month allocation ) = 1847

This leaves us 14 short but there is a greater chance of application submitted at 39 points and above being successful this time. I will try to post the prediction based on Actuals (Dataset July 14 - June 15)

Datasource : https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... 0table.xls
Do you have data of July 2015, and Aug 2015?

Hello All ,

I am thrilled to get my Tier 2 General UK visa.

Few details

- I had 40 points and was denied RCos in July
- RCoS was granted to me on 11th of August by home office , and it was assigned to me on 20th of August by third party dealing with my application.
- I made an application at vfs Chandigarh India on 25 of Aug, 2015.
- On 10th working day I received a message from British high commission delhi instructing me to collect my passport from chosen delivery address.

Documents Submitted

Print out of online application for
RCoS Certificate
Appendix 5 tier 2
Traffic offence details and driving license
Cover letter
Passport
Degree certificate

Please note that I made a mistake on my online application form , i put the wrong passport issue month on my online application form and I was worried about that but since BHC had my original passport so they must have realized that it was just a typing error and it did not affect my application.

The whole process was quite cumbersome and I I thank all of you for sharing data/analysis and other useful stuff to help one another. Thank you and Good luck to all of those awaiting decision on their visa application especially to those awaiting the cut off points for Sept RCoS , I sincerely hope everything goes back to normal.

Normally when can we get the RCoS every month if it is granted?

the granted cos will be assigned to the applicant in a week time. If applying through 3rd party it would normally take less than 2 weeks.
