I would like to switch from the 10 yr route to the 5 year partner route. What documents do I need to submit and can I apply anytime.
Thanks
You can apply any time you want as long as you meet all the requirements of Eligibility and suitability as partner
The documents you need you find them here https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _final.pdf
I'm in the process of switching too .

I am not sure if I am posting my question in right threadof this forum .

I have question regarding financial requirement section of FLR(M) application form for my wife(within Uk).

I am a Director (employee) and shareholder in my Ltd company, so I am not self-employed in the view of HMRC. The company is the trading entity and I simply draw a salary and profit share by way of dividend.

From Annex_FM_1_7_Financial_Requirement document I can see I am falling under category F (but not self-employed since I am employed by my company)

Now while filling form I am confused which section I need to fill ? Section 7.3 B say that you can write information about Category F but all questions are asked about self-employment.

Any idea which sections I am supposed to fill this form?

Regards,
kash

I m also in same condition as yours. anyone please help.

Hi Xcape_24, my wife did retake the English test for her extension. We are not 100% sure we are allowed to reuse her expired English cert. We played safe to be honest.

Yes, she could qualify for ILR but she didn't manage to pass her Life in the UK test.

2) I would like to know how many months after spouse visa i should apply for FLR (M). My spouse visa is for 33 months so do i apply after 33 months?

3) Also what documents am i ment to provide? I know i need 6 official documents to prove i live with my wife but what else do i need to give?

4) My wife being the british national is having our baby and she was thinking of applying for
1. Child Benefit
2. Working tax credits
3. Child tax credit.
These 3 benefits are classified as public fund. If my wife applies for these in her name will it affect my FLR (m) spouse?

Hi there
I've applied for ILR on 10 year basis dated 01 Sep 2014.
I'm on student visa since 25th March 2012.
My wife is also on my dependant visa which is expiring on 31st December 2014.
As I'm student was unable to work more than 20 hours n I was not working, but I'm on grace period of my visa from July onwards.
I've got job from last month(October) full time where as my wife has got part time job.
Now till 31st December me n my wife will be having 3 month wage slips
Will 3 months wage slips be enough to apply FLR(M) n if I'll get contract letter from my employer which confirms that I'll be earning more than £18,600.
Please advise me shall i apply on 3 months wage slip + contract letter.
I'll be kind for your advice .
Thanks

Hi All,
I am new to this forum, but have heard of it as possibilities of getting answers.
I have got my ILR through long residence.
I have to apply for my wife's FLR(M) visa. in January.
For maintenance I am thinking of choosing category B route, since I have not been with current employer for six months.
The problem is I have been receiving a stipend from university since I was doing a postgraduate degree.
It is paid in form of tax-free format.
I don't know if I can show net (tax-free) total £15800 or do I have to £18600 (gross tax included)
If net total, it should not be problem.
I can show:
*Tax free stipend from Jan-Aug
*Tax reduced (salary) from current job (Sept-Dec)
Total = £15800

I do not know how to convert tax free stipend to include tax, and if I convert to to include tax I don't think it adds up to £18600.
Please advise me what I should do.

Hi
I got my ILR in April,2013 on long residency.
My wife is living with me in the UK since 2009 as a work permit dependent and student dependent recently till 2013. I applied for her extention under FLR M and she got her visa a month ago under two years route to settlement.

My question is can she apply for ILR now? Will her previous time be counted towards qualifying time for settlement?
She was out of the UK from April,2012 to Feb,2013.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys,

Can someone please help me answer question 2.16 and 2.17?

2.16 When and where did you get marry/enter civil partnership?

Mine was a religious marriage which was outside of UK. However, I got married legally once we arrived in UK at a city council which was two months later.

I have proof of the latter which is a marriage certificate however I cant proof the religious wedding as per the HO standards/requirement as the certificate isnt in English. So I am very confused what to write for this question....please can someone offer any help with this?

2.17 what type of ceremony was your wedding?

Depending on above what is the best answer for this?

Hi honorable members of this forum
I'm going to apply for my wife visa extension on flr(m) in January and will ask home office to put her application on hold under mine decided which was made in November on 10 years basis. NOW QUESTION
I`m with current employer for the past 5 years. i have been salaried since June 2011 and details are
salary from June 2011 to march 2014 = 18000/anum
Salary from April 2014 to September =18450/anum
salary from October 2014 to on ward =19200/anum
her visa is valid until 30th January 2014. as i can see my current salary is above the income threshold of 18600 but the problem is i have this been only from October 2014 which means only 3 payslip on this level and i have to apply her visa before i get paid at the end of January. please let me know what are my option now and what option i need to choose when filling her flr m application.
thank you for your help and support and may Allah almighty reward you well for your help in this matter

Yes unfortunately if you are British 3-6 months waiting time is average. You can check on gov.uk by clicking on the appropriate visa and then clicking on what country you applied from. If you are a 'European citizen, not British' (gov.uk) your non-EU spouse will get their visa in under 3 weeks with no chance of refusal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGXQofH1zU4
