Hello, everyone, First of all thanks so much for such a valuable information you all are providing here.

my wife came in this country on spouse visa on 15/3/2013. Am I in right thinking I should be able to apply now even her visa doesn't expire till December.

On regards to financial requirement I run limited company. So Am I right in thinking if the total of company's profit plus my monthly salaries and dividend goes over the threshold requirement then I don't need to show wife's payslips stuff.

Other thing in the form I am confused about the English language requirement is which box to tick. I am sure I read it that if you have passed the test on previous successful application which she did in India, so is it right she doesn't have to do it again? but which box on the form to tick?

Sorry if thats covered elsewhere but I didn't seem to find and wanted to confirm on my situation. Much appreciate all your helps.

We submitted our application on 25 July and Biometrics on 1 August. Since then we haven't heard a word and the eight week deadline is fast closing in.
Does the home office notify you by email or text when they are dispatching the results?
Starting to worry that they may have sent some correspondence through that got lost en route.

Hi,

For my wife's previous FLR(M) I used my limited company to prove the income. However, you need a lot of information to prove this. From the top of my head they were:-

Personal Information-
SA302 for the last 2 financial years available
P60 for the last 2 financial years available
Personal Bank Statements for the last 2 years
Personal Savings Account Statements for the last 2 years

Compay Information-
Certificate of Incorporation
VAT Registration Certificate
Company Bank Statements for the last 2 years (all accounts if you have a saving account linked)
Full Company accounts for the last 2 financial years available

Hope this helps!

Hi,

From my wife's last application, there is no notification. The documents just arrive with a covering letter detailing the result of the application.

It is getting to nearly 6 weeks for us now, but, as her status is retained during the application period, it is not big problem for us this time.

Last time, she could not work whilst waiting for the FLR(M) as she was on a student visa. Her last application took almost 3 months to complete (82 days)...

Last time ours took 7 weeks, right now it's been 5. The only reason I'm worried is I have travel booked mid next month...

Hey Guys,

I was in the same confusing state for last few months. I applied for extension of FLR M (second period of leave to remain) and as usual I was worried as I couldn't submit all the required correspondence (six documents from 3 different sources) for my previous address as we were living with our in laws for few months post our marriage on Jan 2013 and we had our names on only 2 sources ( I gave a letter from my in laws stating that we lived with them for few months). Also, I did not submit bank statements from last 6 months (only 3 of last 6 months were submitted). On the top, year of our wedding on the marriage certificate was written wrong in error (2012 instead of 2013). I had to submit 4 justification letters to explain all these issues. I Worries got escalated when I received that my application was invalid as I did not attach photographs on page 1 of application form (I sent them in envelope separately). Here is my visa timeline.

18/07/2015 - Visa application submitted (special delivery)
19/07/2015 - Received and signed by Home Office (durham office)
21/07/2015 - Fees deducted from account
26/07/2015 - Received acknowledge letter, Biometric request and invalidation letter received in one package. Invalidation letter requested to submit application form with photos attached on 1st page (as described in guidelines) within 10 days in pre-stamped envelope with sheffield address on it.
27/07/2015 - Updated Application form was submitted to Sheffield office
28/07/2015 - Biometric was given
.
.
.
10/09/2015 - Package was received with all documents and a letter stating that visa application is approved. :) :D :D
I am awaiting Biometric residence permit now.... :)

Thanks to this forum for giving me so much guidance and others for sharing their experiences. I felt that to be thankful to this forum, I should share my experience as well.

Good luck to those waiting for their visas.

Regards

Just got back from a few days holiday in Cornwall. Package delivered with passports etc and covering letter. Leave to remain granted yehey. Package was sent recorded delivery (without prior notification) but the postman just stuck it through the door without a signature as we were away. BRP to follow.
So total processing time for us was about seven weeks.

Sent Application 20/07/2015, submitted biometrics once the letter came through one week ish later.
Letter asking for more evidence of cohabiting with partner received 03/09/15
Submitted extra documents 10/09/2015
Received all our documents back and visa granted 14/09/2015.

Very happy all that stress has now gone ! :D
