Hi,

They were not specific in which documents they required to prove we have been cohabitating, only that they required more than what we submitted originally for the period of July 2013 - Sept 15. The cant really be specific as you can prove cohabitation through a number of different documents that are equally valid.

Thank you for the response.
I still haven't received it.
Its just that my employers wants me to confirm my immigration details to her and I thought I could show the acknowledgement as proof that I have put in an application before my visa expired.
I will try explaining to her if I still don't receive it by tomorrow cos technically I m not an illegal immigrant and my status remains the same until a decision is reached, isn't it? :?:
'fingers crossed'

Did you applied by solicitor???
Becoz I applied by solicitor application posted on 12th and homeoffice send biometric and acknowledgement on 18th but my solicitor inform me on 25th so if you applied through a solicitor contact him or her.
Otherwise you will receive it shortly they send it by second class so sometime it's take 5 days.

Hi, thank you to members of this board - seeing the timelines has been quite useful for me.

Here's timeline for my FLR(M) extension:
Posted application with tracking number/signature on delivery: 29 July 2015
Received in Durham: 30 July 2015
Acknowledgement and Biometric Letter received in one envelope: 06 August 2015
Biometrics submitted: 07 August 2015
Letter requesting additional documents: 10 September; letter was dated 04 September. I had until 18 September to have all the documents to the Home Office (just a note, the letter said documents had to be received by the Home Office by the 18th - not a lot of time).
Received approval letter & documents back in post: 17 September 2015
Received biometrics card by courier 17 September 2015

Total process took seven weeks.

They requested additional bank statements. I included six months of statements from our joint current account, which my pay is direct deposited it into each month. My husband's pay is direct deposited into another account and we transfer funds into it after he's paid each month. I thought it was enough at the time I sent off the application, as my pay exceeds the £18,600 required and all our household bills are paid from it. I had also included the requisite six months worth of payslips for us both.

Our second bank - the one my husband's pay is deposited into - is a little behind the technology curve; you can't download and print older bank statements online, and they only have one branch where we live. So, we called the bank on the afternoon of the 10th and arranged for printed statements which we picked up on the 11th. I mailed it to the Home Office that afternoon.

I do think that the short amount of time I was given could be difficult.

Oh, I forgot to mention - the letter I got from the Home Office was two pages. The bottom of Page 1 said "1 of 3" and page 2 said "2 of 3"...but there was no page 3. That worried me for till I rang the Home Office on the morning of the 11th and I was told I was supposed to get a generic list of commonly requested documents.

I still havent received any letter from the Home Office. I am worried what if its lost in transit or sent to a wrong address cos if I dont do the biometrics on time, my application will be refused. Can you help with who to contact or what to do?
i didnt use any solicitor and it is my second flr (m) application. I really dnt know what to do. :(

Hi babymama
I will suggest you to wait till Monday if not received, than call homeoffice and asked them if they send you biometric letter ?
and if someone not enrolled biometric in 15 days they will usually send another but it will delay processing time of application

Hi for 2.2 yes and 2.3 I didn't tick any option but on the next page I ticked the box and explained that ' I currently m on pbs dependent visa that was applied from within uk and valid until 2018. As my wife has recently granted ilr, I am making an application as a dependent of a settled person in uk. '

I took these sentences considering first 3 options of 2.3.
