Hi,

I am also switching from PSW to Tier 2. Can you please tell what were the documents you sent? I just want to get this right the first time around :(

Thanks

I think the doc provided by the Home Office is really handy. Do not ignore it.

Yeh I have read that but just wanted to make sure I have everything I wanted:

I am sending the following off:

1.) Passport
2.) 2 pictures
3.) Application form
4.) Letter from employer
5.) Bank passbook
6.) Bank letter
7.) Original Degree Certificate as proof of English Language

What else am I missing?

Thanks
I think you also need to send your BRP along with it. I did.

Does anyone know if UK BA sends back the passports via registered mail, and if so, does that mean they can provide a tracking number? I rang twice and got two different information -- the first one told me to ring at the end of the week as she cannot see a tracking number on the system (does that mean they lost it?!) and the second one told me apply for a return of documents. What I don't understand is why request for that when I already have a decision? Don't they send out the supporting documents back automatically?

I did not have any BRP but was just a sticker on my passport as I applied for PSW outside the UK.

fed up of checking my mailbox everyday :(
Muina, you can wait for 3-4 days and still if u dont get ur passport, can apply for return of docs, since u have already got ur BRP, just guessing that u can do this, not sure though.

I did my biometrics on the 31st January & nothing of course.

My cynical self thinks they are slowing things down purposefully to make it look like numbers are down when they release the numbers tomorrow....

Same here. It's taken me a total of 8 weeks now, while all them reported 4-6 weeks.

I sent a request for return of documents and they said that documents should have been sent out last 20 Feb. My passport has just been sent out today, apparently, and I've just been given a tracking number, which isn't coming up when I use it on the website. I asked if they send out first or second class but they wouldn't reply exactly, saying it can take "a couple of days". Like I have a couple of days when I should actually be at Heathrow right now!

Passport received on 20th and dated approval letter of 17th Feb.

It's clearly mentioned there that BRP will be send across within 7 working days

Thanks for your reply rizzu155, appreciate it !

I'm sure you'll recieve your BRP soon. The postive thing is, looks like they do work on sundays given that the approval date on your letter was 17th of Feb.

Hi muina,
Which. Number you used to contact them ? I am still waiting for passport and brp , will they let us know when we can able to get it ?
If so could you please update me which number and which option I need to chose.
Thank you

It's the one found on their website, an 08 number under Tier 2
General. There is an option there to ask about progress of your application which I NEVER chose, because I have a feeling I'll just get a recorded voice. When you do get to talk to someone, they still won't be able to help you, because they can only access details for applications made more than 6 months ago. I rang four times in one day -- after I end one conversation, I rang again because I know I'd get a different person to talk to, and they all couldn't give me anything specific.

I only managed to get someone via email because I sent a return of documents request and that's when they found out that they haven't sent the passport out yet, even if it was supposed to have been sent out 20th of Feb.

Yes, I'll ensure that I post my timelines as soon as I hear something. This forum has been extremly useful. The below link still says 19th of Jan , so I don't really know long it'll be but at the same time I don't know how often they update this link.
