My wife applied from Karachi on 5th August 2009.

I checked my status this morning after fajr and it was the same...(application forwarded..etc) then i thought i'll email my mp and ask him to find out but decided to check again (8:30am) and the status had changed.

Inshallah i pray it's good news and my duas are with all you who are anxiously waiting for their partners visa.
Dear Brother TQ,

I am praying for your wife's visa that you applied on 5th. Inshallah she will get it. I applied on 7th Aug from Khi but the status hasn't changed yet. May be the next post will carry her passporti. Let's hope that we will be able to spent our first Baqr-a-eid together with our wives :)

Thanks everyone.

D_W - mine was a 'fresh' spouse settlement case and should be completely straightforward. I don't understand why your case is taking sooo long - i pray inshallah that it's worth the wait and your visa comes through very soon.

My wife rang Gerrys in Karachi and they've told her to wait untill she receives a phone call before she can come in ??? I hope this isn't gonna drag on for days.... If my wife doesn't hear from them within the next couple of days, we'll probably pay them a visit next week.

Learner007 - has your status changed or did you simply receive an email??

No need to wait. Ask your wife to visit gerrys and tell them that she has got a call. They will take another 2 days to call ur wife. Best of luck.

Your Mrs dont need to wait for a phone call .
she can go there and tell the guy that she got the phone call as many people have done that in the past and got their passports back without phone call as my hubby lives 5 mins drive from GErrys islamabad

No we just recieevd that email but status is the same

learner007 & Topgun - i've taken your advice and asked my wife to just go to Gerrys office - the collection time is 2-5pm so she's got 45 minutes to get there...

Will let you know what happens.

Good luck to the guys who recieved a response, Seems like a few people from karachi this time round. My wife applied from karachi aswell but at the end June still no response could it be her passport has been put in an alternative pile as the tb test has expired and BHC just taking the p**s calling to renew the tb test.

This process is finally getting the better of my anger and fustration.

Baz

Kayanii - many many congratulations :D

I pray inshallah my wife also picks up her passport with her visa stamped on it.

Do you know anything about having to travel within 28 days of your visa stamp?? Is this a requirement?

learner007 - my wife couldn't make it there on time so looks like it's gonna be tomorrow.

I'm flying out tonight (was planning to go regardless of the visa status) - i hope we can both come back together inshallah.

Please remember me in your duas and likewise i'll make dua for all of you too.

Will let you know what happens....
