I haven't received any return document yet. Actually I didn't hand the original document out, council copied all the document and send out when I applied, so I don't know if I will still expect the copy of document or not.

Hi Guys, I recently posted that my ceremony was said to be on March 26th 2014, However, when I sent of my slip for people who I wanted to be invited I never received the confirmation back. So I phoned my local council this morning to confirm where my invitation slip for my guests is and when the woman pulled up my name on the system she thought it was strange as my ceremony is tomorrow the 29/01/14 and not march the 26 and that somewhere they made an error which they sincerely apologized for. Thank God I phoned as I wouldn't have known because really and truly I thought march 26th was so far away after being approved BC on the 8/01/14 by HO.

Have a good day guys and I continue to wish everyone good luck on here with their BC :D :D :D :D :o
Hey congratulations to a fellow Jamaican! I hope you can now move forward having put all the waiting and wondering behind you, it must be a great feeling. I go to submit my application today! :D

Hello everybody! I find this web-site very friendly and helpful, thank you!
Here is my Application Timeline
Eligibility criteria: ( 3yr spouse of BC)
Method of application: NCS (Hammersmith & Fulham's)
Date of receipt by UKBA: 15/01/014
Date of debit of fees (debit card): 31/01/2014 - available balance dropped 29/01/2014
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: 31/01/2014 - letter dated 29/01/2014
Date of receipt of approval: waiting
Date of Ceremony: waiting

I have to say, I flew to London, because in NI we have no NCS office, and I think Hammersmith & Fulham's NCS in London was a great choice. You can book your appointment on-line, it cost 45 pounds (less than in many other NCS), staff is very friendly and helpful. I had a problem with tracking my application on Royalmail web-site so I sent an e-mail to NCS and they called me next morning and ensured me that my application was received by HO day after I visited NCS. How sweet :D it is!
Best of luck and speedy process to all of us!

Just for FYI:
pompeyman wrote:Found this in the web thought it would be nice to share

(i) Envelope opened and fee taken to account. Contents of envelope place
in a pouch.
(ii) Application file is created. Database record created specific to
the application.
(iii) Security checks conducted - some of which are directly against the
information entered onto the database, others are with external
agencies.
(iv) Case goes into queue awaiting consideration by a caseworker. Queue
is in date-of-receipt order.
(v) Case is allocated to a caseworker for consideration. If everything
is in order the application is approved. If not, deficiencies are
rectified - e.g. by writing to applicant for further documents or by
clarifying immigration history from records or clarifying security
checks.
(vi) The system generates a certificate for the applicant which is
printed off and despatched.

The only difference between NCS applications and non NCS
applications is that, having been already checked to make sure all
documents have been submitted and mandatory requirements are met etc,the cases are usually ready to approve when the reach the caseworker without further enquiries being necessary.

In summary, cases are considered in date order. Once they reach a
caseworker, the time taken to consider the application depends on how
easy it is to determine that the requirements are met. If an applicant
has omitted information or documents or has a complicated immigration
history that requires closer scrutiny then the application will be
delayed for the period of time taken to complete enquiries
