Unfortunately I havent received my BRP card yet, which means that I will probably not be able to travel. Unless they deliver it tomorrow, I am relying on it. I dont understand why they dont send the card in the same envelope as the documents and the letter of approval. Why are thet constantly putting us on hold?

Frutrating..
Praying that it will arrive tomorrow.

SET(M) Postal application - timeline

Post by Chickencurrykm » Tue Aug 28, 2012 7:37 pm

Hey guys, our details are as follows:

1) Previous visa - 2 year Spouse
2) Expiry date - 17 May 2012
3) Application received at UKBA - 4 May 2012
4) Payment taken - Not sure (within a week)
5) Acknowledgement sent by UKBA - 14 May 2012
6) Biometric requested by UKBA - 9 July 2012
7) We receive Biometric request - 18 July 2012
8) Biometric given - 19 July 2012
9) Acceptance letter written - 22 August 2012
10) Acceptance letter received - 28 August 2012
11) Biometric residence permit received - WAITING, letter says we will receive in 7 working days

I did involve my MP, tweet lots of #UKBA comments and lodge a complaint on 23 August 2012 but I have had no response from any of these avenues as yet so I doubt anyone hurried things along!

Good luck with all your applications x

Sorry to make you worry, I said my legal representative is close down, but I am not sure if UKvisaandimmigration people are closed down or not but they are not responding to my emails or phone calls so I called UKBA they informed me that my documents delivery is returned back to UKBA.
Glad i asked now, im using the same company and have the same issue!!
One more question, which number did you call as i will have to now phone them too!
I called on 08706067766 select for general inquiry and explain your situation.. they will let you know if documents were sent or not and please go online and fill out legal representative section and change legal representative to yourself.
Have now made changes to my address, UKBA have confirmed that my home address is where documentation will be sent.

The problem will now be that my BRP will be exactly the same and I will have to get them to change my representative to myself and change my address accordingly..

@GURUDEV What did you do with regards to changing your details with DX Secure?

You are not alone my friend, I am in the same boat , and I know there are so many others. Havent seen my family since 2006 , if that puts things in perspective. . I applied in May , the waiting, is not easy, needless to say.. but on this matter, we have little or no choice other than waiting. But coming to this forum , gives us a chance to at least talk about it, because no one else would understand what we go through.

BRP Finally!

Post by AussieSetO » Thu Aug 30, 2012 9:50 am

Okay so yesterday I got my BRP (11 days after my documents). So my full timeline is:

Applied Set O: 12 March
Acknowledgement: Sometime around 20th (I forget the exact date)
Biometrics Letter received: 3 May
Biometrics complete: 4 May
Documents received: 18 August
BRP received: 29 August
BRP dated: 16 August

24.5 weeks of waiting.

Still no sign of my husband's - same timeline as me. Looks like there are still a lot of march applicants waiting.
