I am just concerned about predicting how kinds will go up to September because I have been on this board all year and people have been predicting how the backlog will go in April, May and on and on

Nurses took 700 certificates in one of the recent months when they had a big recruitment drive, and in the last month about 400. And that’s before you count the average of 700 doctors a month

Well according to the news nhs takes up about 8000 visa a year so that is roughly 700 visa a month. Definitely if the rule is implemented immediately 50-55 would get through this month.
45 next month. 40-45 in August and 35-40 in September and so on .. you have to consider that even though the rules have been lifted there would be new applications each month which would add to the existing backlog . So it would take approx 3-4 months to clear out the entire backlog. Also need to take into consideration that coming September the number of visa per month would be 1500 a month .
But the good news is after every 3 months rcos which have not used are added to the monthly allocation so from July onwards everyone can expect an additional 200-300 rcos added
Also Nurses whose points are super high will no longer be in competition , and hope there will no less people with very high salaries. But this silence is strange for this month. really different from previous month.

I just looked at the May thread and people started posting refusals on the 18th. I’m sure we will start hearing soon

My work has slow communication as we have an immigration firm who reports back to HR who then is in touch with my bosses and me. I usually have been hearing from them around this time or even later, as the news goes through several people first

Back in April, I had 45 points & 47k salary. I then convinced my employer to raise my offer so as to push me over 50k. I was hopeful to get through in May, but then again got refused because the cut off was 51 points or at least 55k salary.

@UKtier2visajune2018: How long have you been trying.

Guys have done some calculations

As per my t he analysis done by evershed firm. There were total 690 application in March from 40-45 points. So let me consider. 400 as 45 and 290 in 40-44 range.

Now I will add another 300 till June nowi will end up with 700 in July at 45.

So if we go by the analysis 35-40% goes to doctors/Nurse so we ll have 700 freed RCOS and 250 (It could be 300 or 350) which is returned during last 3 months. Total it becomes 950 even at worst case.

From my 2 nd paragraph I will remove 150 as I believe these are all doctors (It could be more) now I have 550 at 45 with 950 available in July.

If 50 and 55 Doesn't go through this month next month it will eat up 450-500 of 950. Now 45 won't go through. In August along with 950 we ll have carried 400 to august.

In August along with another 900-950 it become total 1300. So it will clear 40-45.

These may vary depending on the applicationa. But I really feel this is going to happen.

Yes, looking back if I would have convinced my employer in March to raise my offer, I would have got through in April, and would have been in the UK by now!
But I believe everything happens for a reason, and sometimes you just have to leave the universe to do its job! Though this backlog has been hard on me (like most of you), and all my plans have gone out of the window already. But I ain't losing hope! :D

My hours haven’t changed and my contract has been the same since applying in January.

My understanding is that it is only shortage occupations which require a minimum of 30 hours?

I have emailed the Home Office but haven’t had a response yet.

3 months. But i guess before the announcement of relaxing the cap, In the initial 2 days of cos allocation the points directly went down to 50. I hope the points for this month ll be lower then that.

I am too joining a big 4 in IT forensic team. Seem at 32 points i need wait 2 more months to get through.
How long have you been trying?
3 months. But i guess before the announcement of relaxing the cap, In the initial 2 days of cos allocation the points directly went down to 50. I hope the points for this month ll be lower then that.
Assuming those who have already got their CoS didn't make a mistake in calculating their points, this month's cutoff should be 50 or lower

Maybe because those who have got their RCoS are busy planning their move to the UK, and those who haven't (like us), are glued to this forum watching every post in the hope of getting to know the cutoff!

The guidance only says the decisions are made after the allocation meeting - however I presume most employers genuinely have not been notified about the results - this is because it is also in employers' interests to notify their prospective employees asap so they can commence their employment asap in order to create value rather than deliberately hold onto the information

I am thinking the latest series of changes in policies from Home Office might have had an impact on how decisions are being released - but this is a pure speculation

Based on the fact there has been no news all week, I think the initial 50-pointer was an anomaly.
He/she must not know the correct points (for e.g. his job might be in shortage occupation).
Based on a comment on this poll - https://poll.pollcode.com/46842448, everyone having greater than 60 points got the news on Day 1 and then absolutely nothing after that.

I took the pain of traversing through other months' threads and there was rejection/acceptance news in the first week itself.

Now that we have not heard anything on the Monday of second week, something is really different/odd this month. I just don't know whether it is good or bad news though. No basis to even make a calculated guess!

Good luck to us!
