Hi Uzmaham, Just wondering if your visa did arrive in time for your trip? I'm in the same boat. 50 days today, flight leaves in 8 days. Hope yours did arrive in time.

Was anyone successful in getting FLR for their spouse as a tenant with just a tenancy agreement and no letter? I am really worried that my housing association won't provide a letter in time for our application. My husband's visa expires next month but I really don't want to wait till last minute to apply.

Hi guy's

I've been frequenting this topic page for a while now but have only decided to post as i have completely run out of options and am at my wits end

i applied for my first FLR(m) as my partner is British
my time line is a follows

12 March 2016 - submitted application
14 March 2016 - Fee taken
17 March 2016 - Biometrics requested
22 March 2016- Biometrics submitted

then nothing until

26 April 2016 - Partners British passport returned

and no further contact since then

it has now been 18 weeks
i call the customer relations hotline at least twice a week 2 letters (early june and early july)
ive made a formal complaint with UK Gov visa website
and still no contact from them in any shape, way or form

my myself and partner are stressed out and can barely function, my work has been good by allowing me to work during this time even though at great risk to themselves , but even they are starting to wonder

please help i am desperate for answers but none seem forthcoming from the visa office
has anybody have any advice that i can use to help me find out what is happening?

many thanks

Patience is the word.
Wife and son submitted in March too and got approval in June.
Really frustrating being kept in suspense.

Hi,
Applied for wife extension visa for 2.5 years.

Here's my timeline:

11 July 2016 - submitted application
15 July 2016 - Fee taken
21 July 2016 - Received acknowledgement letter dated 18 July 2016 but received no biometric letter (most seem receive the letters on the same day) a bit worrying. I hope the letter has not been lost in post.

Could anyone please tell me if this has happened to them.

Thanks site - stalking these boards has been very helpful.
Our timeline and context:

Partner Canadian citizen
Sponsor British
We are married, employed and went a little overboard with the evidence (signed and stamped bank records, tenancy agreement plus testimonial from landlord, holiday snaps, plane tickets, maternity appointment slip from the hospital - proves we are a legit couple right!?)
Application was for further leave to remain

Date of application: 28/5/16
Delivered 1/6/16 (there was a Bank Holiday- so delivery was slow)
Fees taken from account 6/6/16
Acknowledgment letter and biometrics request letter received 7/6/16
Biometrics done 9/6/16
Got home yesterday to find a 'sorry we couldn't deliver your parcel card' (sleepless night of worry)
Approval letter and all documents returned 22/07/16

WooooHooooo

Thanks for all the support - see you all on the indefinite leave to remain boards
Good luck :-)

Still not received my wife's biometric letter. I am beginning to worry a bit more as feel it might have been lost in post. Seems like it usually arrives for most people on same day as acknowledgement letter by going through this thread. If this is the case how do I contact the home office to let them know I have not received my bio metric letter. Has this happened to anyone else here.

Kind regards,
Raja

Hi!
In my case, I received the acknowledgement letter on June 24th and the biometric one on June 25th. They did not come the same day.

the Royal Mail website is saying the following
It was received at Tyneside mail centre and nothing after that
Date: 09/06/16
Time: 02:41
Status: ARRIVED ATTYNESIDE MAIL CENTRE
Track point: TYNESIDE MAIL CENTRE
Date: 08/06/16
Time: 20:53
Status: ON ITS WAY TOTYNESIDE MAIL CENTRE

Status: ITEM COLLECTED
Track point: NOTTINGHAM MAIL CENTRE
Date: 08/06/16
Time: 15:55
Status: SENT AT POST OFFICE
Track point: 5 Derby Road DE73 5SA
Finally had some answers from Royal Fail . Apparently when it went through the processing at Tyneside mail centre the special delivery sticker got accidentally removed . It was given another reference number and then sent on ! Nice to let us know as my wife's name and address was on the front of the package ! Royal Mail have a contact for the home office and they got back to them today . They got a reply this afternoon saying that the home office had got it and gave us the new tracking number
Wow, I can't believe that. I would be livid. Glad it got there finally though! Hopefully it will be a quick process here on out for you :) Don't worry about the visa expiring though, from what I have read is that if its in the process of application and expires you're okay. :) Best of luck! I just got mine back today, 8 weeks on the mark lol[/quote]

My wife's timeline

Application sent - 08/06/2016
After the above
Application received 09/06/2016
Acknowledgement and biometrics Letter Received 16/06/2016
Biometrics given 18/06/2016
No further communication from HO ( Which is a good thing trust me )
Approval letter received 30/07/2016

See you all in the ILRM forums in 2 1/2 years . Looks like they are taking close to the full 8 weeks at the moment

Hi

I've been sent a letter asking for further documentary evidence to show proof of address. The exact wording is as follows

" Further documentary evidence to show that you have been cohabiting with your partner from February 2016 to present for yourself and for your partner, or addressed jointly to both of you. Please see attached Guidance Note for information on the type of evidence required"

I already sent more than 6 pieces of evidence with my name on them.
My wife however has only been here since Feb 2016, at the time I only had two pieces of evidence with her name!

On the guidance notes it states "... The current requirement is to provide at least 3 documents per year from official sources... ". Does this mean that they only require 3 pieces of evidence for my wife sine she has only been here since Feb 2016. If that is the case I don't have a problem as I've now managed to add her name to some of our utility bills.

They require the documents by the 9th of August, if I want to request an extension on this how would I go about it!

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks to all as ever for posting all the timelines. Forum is as helpful as the first time applying for LTR.

Quick question: Ideally how far in advance of visa expiration should one send the application for FLR(M) ??

Also: has anyone had employment problems in the gap while documents are with the HO ??

This is a timeline thread. Please post your FLR(M) questions in the main immigration for family sub forum or continue in an existing topic if you have one.

Yes, we received the biometrics letter several days after the acknowledgement letter sometime around the first week of July, and immediately enrolled the biometrics the day after.

Our application was pretty much straight forward, so I guess the 8 week timeline is considered standard now.
