Any updates on that? I'm also curious about score card for the minor and original passports cos in the website it states "From 1 January 2022, new applicants for citizenship will not be required to submit their original passport with the initial application".
No need for original passport.
Certificates received today. Finally ended journey of 2 years and 2 months. This forum has been a blessing. Good luck to everyone.johnpromise01 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2022 1:56 pmjohnpromise01 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 9:19 amjohnpromise01 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 11, 2022 1:18 pm
Approval received this morning for my children. Asked to pay 200euro.
Do I need to send my original IRP card and national passport ? Or I only need to send 200e bank draft and Two colour passport photo of my child?
Certificate fees paid. It is stated in the approval letters to send bank drafts and photos. But instead i made the payment online and uploaded copy of biometric passport. I hope they won't reject it and insist on bank drafts? Also my children's passport has expired but i uploaded them like that. Also i made a mistake in one of my children's profile on the inisonline.jahs.ie by writing one of my children's name as the parent making the payment on his behalf instead of my name. Do you see any problem with that? Although i sent them an email immediately about it. Also i used my account on inisonline to make my children's certificate fees, i hope it doesn't has to be separate account for each child? Will this affect processing the certificate fees and sending out the certificate?
Certificates fees process status changed to completed since last week and stated i should allowed 2-3 working days to receive certificates. Still waiting for certificates by post.
My timelines are almost identical.Hanson wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 9:27 amTimeline for my child application

Ali hiw much JR spouse to cost you how does it work just wondering i can go for it my son's application is now stands at 33 months?? Thanks
You have to include the parent's certificate in the child's application.jesonnn wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 5:28 pmHello folks
I just recently applied on citizenship and it is over 6 months nothing back to me (only passport) and no reference number, my child has been living with me in Ireland over 5 years, as of known that for minor the certificate of parent is needed, do you think it makes sense to apply for my child now? It is painful to wait cert for me 2-3 years and then for my child again 2-2.5 (based on time line this forum), could it be more sense to apply then when I will get my cert (hopefully) I just can share while the application for child will be in some queue's place, rather then starting it from the beginning? Did someone do that before? Thanks
Same here ! I got reply saying its at advanced stage of processing and will be submitted to minister....hoping to get approval within a month now !Optimist1234 wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 8:10 pmI applied for my daughter 2 years and 4 months now. It's the same time for adult's applications also, so not really surprising.ankuagg wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 12:10 amRegrettably, the current average processing time for naturalisation applications for minors is approximately 23 months.

I have a question about this long timeline for minors. I am a naturalised Irish citizen with a dependent child who was born outside the state (arrived as a 1-year-old). I have applied for my child to naturalize about two months ago, but I have a caregiving responsibility for a parent who resides outside Ireland that will require at least a year outside the country - maybe more. My child, who is 7, has been enrolled in school continuously, this year included. I will also retain a residence, which I own, and small business in Ireland. Will this impact my child's naturalization application or is a lengthy absence like this as a dependent understandable and able to be accommodated? I fully intend to reside in Ireland and this change in circumstances was unforeseen. My child has not say in the matter, unfortunately. I just want to prepare myself if I am preventing my child from pursuing a route to citizenship. He knows no other country and I would feel terrible if I delay or prevent the acquisition of the only citizenship that would be understandable. I just don't think I can offer a 23-month period in Ireland in the coming years.ankuagg wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 12:10 amRegrettably, the current average processing time for naturalisation applications for minors is approximately 23 months.

I think someone said that if it's 2+ years, they could be punished by EU law, so that might just be a statement to prevent that and since it's approximate, you can't say anything if they won't fit in the schedule.ankuagg wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 12:10 amRegrettably, the current average processing time for naturalisation applications for minors is approximately 23 months.
