I didn't get anything. And didn't bother to call them either. I remain positive in one thing - our applications (second half of 2008) are piled together.
hmmm, thought you got the same answer as mine :-)

Ok so, called up INIS again this afternoon. Kept trying for almost 90 odd minutes and on hold for 30 minutes. Spoke to a very very nice Mary. This time more promising news........

Your file is back from the Ministers office, and we are posting out a letter for you today. Don't know how true this is. If it is true, then we both (along with other 2008 applicants) should receive the yellow forms by early next week.

So fingers, knees and toes are crossed.

Wish you all the best.
congrats aceform
when did u get your LTR? can you tell us your timeline
thanks
WITH MY BEST WISHES FOR ALL WAITING FOR THE POSTMAN

Hey realhope,

The letter is not reached yet. I had got my LTR in 2005, and WCATT in 2008. Will update the time lines when I receive the letter.

Cheers,
Ace

HI Pikka, I wonder if your Garda report came through? If it is so, we might be in the same batch..
I hope so, I didn't phone them this week but sent them my LTR letter(Granted Jan.2010) last week and informed them that my husband has got his approval. Lets see what happens..

Hi I am a new comer to the forum,
have been reading the posts recently, very useful forum.
I am september 2009 candidate with out LTR and non EU.
Applied on based 5 years residency on stamp 4, has daughter born in Ireland in 2005 but not Irish Citizen as I had not been resident 3 years at
the time of her birth. She is now over 5.
Two questions seeking answer for please,
1. Has any one from 2009 from my category received any thing so for
from DOJ.
2. There is a seperate form for children born after 2005 without irish citizenship. Does that mean I can apply for my daughter without my self
not naturalized yet?
Any input from forum will be appeciated ,thanks

Welcome to you in this great forum

I applied on july 2009 and got approval on 15/06/2011 but I had long term residency since June 2010.
My wife has no LTR and applied in the same date but they still waitting for her garda report.

You can not apply for your doughter untill you have your CON(been naturalized)
peace on you

Welcome to the Forum
Yes you can apply through Form 8A when your child is of 5 years but you have to show your five years residence Stamps without gaps i-e. since the birth of the child you are in the state for five years. You can use the Residency Calculator on the INIS website. Do not count stamps of your GNIB Card, use Stamps from your Passport

In my opinion, no one can predict it right now, may be before it was between 6 months and 1 year.

for my case they asked for further documents on 03/05/2011, I sent the documents on 10/05/2011 then I got the approval letter on 21/06/2011 but I'd say it is not a rule ,as at the same time they asked for my wife's documents who is dependent on me and applied in the same date even she has the next reference to mine and they still waitting for Garda report.

so there is no rule.
peace on you

It has FINALLY arrived! :) Our letters specifying payment of CoN fees and other detail. I am so relieved! After 33 months.

Just thought I'd share it with those of you waiting for a long period now - there is light at the end of the tunnel!

i would like to determine how many years the INIS keep your file before they decide to look at it

I've waited over the 2 year-mark now and they INIS tell me 1 more year.

Congratulations MidnightHawk. So finally the wait is over.
You waited long enough mate. Since Nov 2007 you applied and just got reply. Hopefully all the backlog will be cleared soon and those who are waiting will soon receive it as well.
