Hey amy, I am in the same boat as you

my hubby overstayed by 5 years and was also caught by immigration but he went back on his own accord as he didn't have his passport at the time of getting caught.

I really hope we don't have to go through the appeal process

it can take forever!!

When and where did u and ur hubby apply??

Hey guys.

Just wondering if anyone's partners have been called In for an interview and if so, how much notice did they give.. How do they communicate with you in terms of interview dates. Is it via letter of phone call?? Any help and info would be very much appreciated. Thank you everyone

Hi Chimpee, I'm not sure about the interview thing. They very rarely ask any1 for interviews now.
we applied on 6th july. It was dispatched on 7th july and in delhi. I'm really worried ill have to go through the appeal process. I end up stressong a lot..and having to go back n appealing while being pregnant is going to be hard. And the money I've saved I'm not supposed to touch.

Its all worrying me too much. Not long now anyday. When did u apply?

Yh that's what I thought but I read a few older posts where people said they were invited for interviews?!

I know exactly what u mean. Just thinking about the appeal process puts a downer on things and is not healthy for the relationship at all!! But we need to be positive I guess. Its just the over staying issue that scares me. Without that I wouldn't be this scared!

My hubby applied only a week ago at vfs jalandhar so a very long wait for us both but you should hear something very very soon I guess. My fingers r crossed for u. Try not to stress as u have a little bubba to think about too. Just enjoy your time with your husband and in time everything will be ok.

Please keep me posted as to what's going on

Hi Friends,

This is my first post in this forum. I am very nervous about my VISA application. I applied for my settlement husband VISA on 29/07/11 from Pune. Today is the 56th day my application still says

Visa application is under process at the British High Commission

Can anyone tell me whatâ€™s going ?

Is there anyone else who has applied for a visa under the same category from Pune VFS?.

Please post your updates.

Hi guys, just had a phone call off BHC, they interviewed my husband over the phone today. Really scared

They said I will gt an answer within 7 to 10 days.

@ password, not sure about pune, but one thing is that u have to count working days not full weeks. So its only been 40 working days.

Password: don't worry, the average time everyone is experiencing is 60 working days. Just keep checking the website! And don't worry

Amy - what did they ask u over the phone and what did they ask ur husband?? That's a good sign I think. If u were going to get refused then they wouldn't waste there time in calling u or him

They only interviewed my hubby. They asked my dob, my qualifications, my occupation, what he did for 7 yrs, y he didn't return to india on time, and why can't I live in india.

I'm worried about my husbands application too as he also was an overstayer but he only applied lastweek so there's a long wait for us yet!!

Its ben 57 working days. Ye ur wait has just begun, not gna lie it does get harder but I really hope nobody has to wait too long its killeR. X

Hi,

My wife just got her visa today.
She had submitted her application on 25-07-11 in Ahmedabad.

I am a UK PR holder. We did not receive any call from BHC. There was no interview. And I don't think our employers were called either.

I wanted to let u guys know I had been to UK 2 years ago on a Family Visit Visa. Does that improve my chances of getting my VISA.

This wait is killing me. Need to be with my wifey asap..

It was for 6 months multiple entry and I came back to India long before my Visa expired.

I'm not an expert but I do know that if you have a good immigration history then it will help ur case a lot.

Try not to worry. You have not got long to wait. U have passed the half way mark. I know the distance between your loved one can cause a lot of heart ache but there's not a lot we can do apart from wait

My husband applied only last week at VFS - Jalandhar so I have a very very long wait ahead of me.

When did u get married??

Hey, My wife applied at the Mumbai South Office.

She received her visa yesterday morning!!
Took exactly 9 weeks!!! 45 working Days!!

Glad the wait is over!!

Your application has been received at the UK Visa Application Centre and is ready for collection.
