Why don't you start calling her now?
Use SMS and email if available. You could even send her some cards and letters.
All of this will build up evidence of contact and a genuine relationship.

I know some families frown upon contact before marriage but if it makes getting the visa easier then why not? You are going to be married anyway so why not start the contact now.

The other option is to wait a month after your nikkah before applying so you can build up the evidence.

technically Nikaah is the Marriage... once do the Nikaah then officially shes your wife and NOBODY can do anything about it... HOWEVER, most families in pakistan have a culture if you will that pretty much says you can only live together once you do the wedding because then everyone of your friends or families know that you're married seeing as they saw the wedding... the wedding part is just nonsense in my books because at the end of the day, you're not living with EVERYONE that you invite to the wedding now are you? lol you're only going to either live on your own (husband and wife) or you're gonna live with the family (own familly or in-laws)...

as they say in english... "A Marriage is between 2 Families"

i would still say you're better off waiting till the wedding is done and you've got photos to prove it because not everyone knows about the Nikaah process and the fact that Nikaah is what really matters... until then just phone and txt/email all the way

I applied a few weeks after nikkah and they didn't ask for any evidence of contact. I just saubmitted plenty of nikkah photos. Just state that it was an arranged marriage and you will be fine.

and thats why i can see a long list of statuses? xD thats pretty much the exact reason why i say ALWAYS send ANYTHING you can think of no matter how stupid it looks or sounds... for example, when you submit JUST photos and a certificate then it shows them that you are wasting their time and your own time... if you send them a whole junk pile of papers then atleast they'll know you're serious and that it just might be genuine... if i was working in the home office then even i would refuse such an application with only photos and a certificate

Probably should state it's arranged marriage and cultural issue. Also send couple casual photos too along with wedding photos.

My husbands appeal was recently allowed (4 weeks ago) and he is now currently awaiting the call letter for him to submit his passport.

Would it be possible to contact / email Islamabad / Dubai and ask them to email me a copy of the letter so that my husband can print it off as he lives in a small village and there can be problems with post. If so what is the email address or telephone number I need to contact?

Its all down to luck really there isnt a specific pattern.
Sum1 applied frm mirpur same as myself same date and one day before and got rfc 5 weeks ago. Just like many otherz here, and I got happy too thinking yay am next, yet here we are still are waiting !
