Hi to everyone,

You should receive the invitation letter in about a week. i got mine at the weekend a week after i got my initial acceptance letter. you will get 2 letters (some only get the 1 letter which is both acceptance and invitation), of course once you book your appointment the council may send you a letter with the details.

What does it mean? Can they approve so soon or reject so soon.
Did you get the letter?

I should be next week

Post by sunny158 » Thu Aug 05, 2010 9:41 pm

Hi, beeba,

I called HO today, this time they said my application is still on the queue, but it should be allocated to a caseworker next week. According to current timelines, usually it is this speed.

NCS or Postal: Postal
Date of submission: 5 June 2010
Basis: HSMP JR (4+1 year ILR)
Date of receipt of acknowledgment: dated next day
Date of decision (on letter): 28 July 2010
Date of ceremony: Awaiting letter

Applied as "not meeting all the requirements" - more than 100 but less than 180 days of absences in the last 12 months - so I am very grateful to the HO for their discretionary decision.

Yes. 2nd Class as well.

If you applied via postal rooute and supplied a pre paid special delivery envelope, then they might send the approval letter when they return your documents.

Just an update on 06082010, "under consideration", does that mean it might take a bit longer than regular timelines seen here? Just curious though...

Have read some old posts which mentioned that "the more you call the more its delayed" not sure how much of it is true. Any light on this?

I don’t think so due to under consideration it will take longer than regular timelines....

I guess the process sequence is

1.Taking payment.......

2.Initial Checks.........(Application Check)

3.Further Checks...(CCJs, Criminal Checks, etc etc)

4. Waiting for a case worker to pick up the whole application with all results from different checks and make a decision.....

I think maximum time it takes in the queue for waiting for a caseworker, I guess Caseworker makes the decision on the same day if he/she believes that all the checks have been done and there is no need for any further checks.

But all of the above are just Assumptions.
