Hi Paramjit,

It took 2 days after they responded my mail.
Even if you dont get the mail reply, Just hang-on till you get the verification letter, this is a busy season for them and it may take arond 15 working days, or 3 weeks from the date of application.

BTW, do you have the letter from your university for English Language?
What are you going to submit, as age proof, I am not quite confident that Indian Driving Licence would fetch the required points.
And my birth certifcate is lost. Can you send me the sample letter that you got from your university?

Thanks,
NNJ10

Hi Paramjit,

Thanks for your reply, and giving the university letter format.

Just to understand one thing from you, why are you using the multiple evidence in order to prove the age?

Any idea from where, can I get the duplicate birth certificate, as I have lost the original one? Getting the International driving licence is not possible, as I one has to show the valid visa for that.

Thnaks,
NNJ10

1.Is it School certificates need to be faxed ?

Hi..

How do you get the brith certificate ?

I have checked in the local officer he refused to provide that.

Already we have given to you once your eduction is over need to show the TC/passport for your age verfication ?

Let me know what are other options ?

Guidelines says ..birth certificate or driving license ?

If you apply from uk ...can we show the indian driving license ?

Thanks

Hi, HSMP2007

I have the same confusion, whether Indian Driving licence would do?
Cause the guidance notes says, the Original Full Driving Licence, I dont know what does that mean in Indian context, cause in India, we get a smart card as driving licence. :(

They also said the original birth certificate. I dont have the birth certificate with me and dont know where it got misplaced.
I can produce the exceptional evidence in form of Notarised copy of the personal details of the passport, but not sure of what reason should I give, for the exceptional consideration; as not sure of whether the Indian Driving Licence (Smart Card - Credit Card size) would fit in their requirement... :!:

Waiting for the opinion of the active forum members

Listen mate my sincere advise is to attach the license as well especially if it says everything in english and name and date of birth match those in passport copy.
Exceptional circumstances means war, drought , flood, attack by martains... not kidding. I have seen uk license its much the same as an indian one.. only a bit sturdier... no reason why indian license should be discounted if they have not mentioned that country of origin matters.

Hi Umesh,

Your justification for the Indian Driving Licnece seems quite valid.
I would now go for the Indian Driving Licence, still need an advice from you. Once I give I.D.L. as age proof, I would not claim the exceptional consideration, but to be sure of the points, should I attach the notarised copy of the passport?

I will not send the 10th Pass certificate, as it is no where mentioned in the guidance notes, even in the Exceptional consideration too.

Pls. advice.

Thanks Umesh,

Although it is no where mentioned that class 10th cert is not a valid proof, but it is also not mentioned that it is a invlaid proof...it will strenthen ur claim for age...i guess notaried copy of passport is most valid one...

Hi Paramjit,

In India, we submit the 10th Pass certificate as age proof to the various authority. The HSMP guide note says only about the evidence that can be considered, it is not saying anything that cnnot be accepted.

If you read the guidance notes carefully, it says, if they doubt the Exceptional Evidence, they can reject it. So why to give them any reason for it. It is important that we send only those documents mentioned in the application form. If the documents sent matches the requirement; no need to send the extra documents and confuse the case-worker..

When I have said, send it Man!

I have suggested to people who dont have both Birth certiifcate and Driving license...they can go for 2 proofs...they might reject as u said 10 th certificate, but how about notarised copy of passport.

And I just suggested Class 10th cert as a additional eveidence ...not first evidence
